Heya everyone! It's that time of the year again, finally! I hope you guys didn't forget about us, we certainly didn't forget about you! (Yup, we're here to stay and contests will keep on comin) :P
Okay enough plugs, here's the rules for the TA 2013 Halloween Contest!
Theme: The art will focus around Sally Acorn as usual. The setting is of course anything to do with Halloween. Pumpkins, candy, black cats, witches, monsters, all that good stuff! The theme this time around will be costumes! Draw Sally in what you think she'd wear this year for Halloween. Think of it almost like a Costume contest in a way. xD The art can be clean or NSFW and can include as many characters as you want, as long as Sally is the main focus, the rest is up to you!
Writing Contest: There will also be a writing contest, the setting for that is also Halloween and will focus around Sally but the theme for that doesn't have to focus on Costumes, can be anything Halloween related.
Details: So we decided to give this contest two categories based on skill to help lesser experienced artist have a chance at winning too. This should encourage lower skilled artist to give it a shot and hope for a win. Higher experienced artists will not be allowed in that category. So when signing up, please inform me which you will be joining
*Note, skill tiers apply to the artists only. Writers will all be in the same category.*
Lower skill tier- For artist who are not confident they can compete with some of the higher skilled artist out there.
High skill tier- For artists that are confident they can compete with any skill just fine. There's no shame in signing up for this tier, it's there for beginner, struggling, and/or learning artists. So go for it!
WRITING ONLY HAS ONE TIER
Ultimately the choice is up to you and how confident you are in your skill. Please be honest when you sign up, we will be making sure no one intends to cheat the lesser ended tier. Each tier will have their own prize.
Rules: Nothing to vulgar, gory or gross please. Including your original characters or fan characters is fine. Please only submit art you've created for this contest, not past work that you submitted before the beginning of this contest. You can work as a team with other artists, but it will count as only a single entry.
Prizes: The prize for the top 3 winners of each category, lower tier artists, higher tier artists and writers, will get their art and stories featured on the TA website, as well as offers to join the team. The 1st place winners of each category will recieve an additional cash prize! Cash prize amounts will be added to this journal soon.
Applying: To apply, say you're applying in the comments below and please also mention which category you're applying for, then you will be entered into the contest with your name placed in this journal below. After that it's up to you to get your art or story done in time! If you wish to be an anonymous entrant, send me a note that you're entering but don't want your name public
Submitting art/story: On October 20th, I will create a seperate journal for your contest entries. To submit please give a link to your finished entry in the comments section of that journal. Please do not submit your finished entries until then.
When: Contest begins right now and will go until midnight Halloween night, Oct 31st. :)
