Another month to go...

by
...Until birthday #48 on Oct. 10... :P

Sorry I've been quiet, just feeling out of it-- Not sick, just depressed... I've been periodically experimenting with my camera, practicing sunsets and sunrises (getting much better at it!), testing out extreme low-light situations, and generally getting ready for having my camera converted to full-spectrum usage sometime before the end of next month (when I have the $300 needed for the project), and I should feel excited-- Instead, I just feel depressed. :P But then, I do feel like this this time of year, every year. :P

I have a couple story ideas I want to write (one inspired by a Japanese comedy skit I found on a record I bought 30 years ago), and write up my commission wishlist (things like Amy at the Sundial Bridge in Redding, Amy at the 1939 New York World's Fair, Amy at the Tokyo Skytree, Amy with the Gworge Pal version of the Time Machine in the distant future (both clean & naughty versions), Amy in an easy chair reading her favourite book (The Time Machine, incidentally), Amy as a Mucha-style Art Nouveau "goddess of light", shining the light for the smaller forest features, as inspired by the music of ELO, Amy on an exoplanet, discovering the ruins of an ancien alien civilisation, and so forth), but haven't really sat down to be more specific of what I want, so...

I don't know- What would I want for my birthday? Squirrels? Sure... Mice? Why not? Bunnies? I sleep with a plushie bunny... (Now there's a thought- living plushies!) Leptictidiums? Of course... Stories? Indeed... Art? Why not? Clean? Naughty? I'm OK with both... How about donations? Well, no-one has since 2010, so I'm not holding my breath...

Just... I dunno- I don't really expect anything... As it is, I'll be doing my annual birthday walk on the Sundial Bridge at the end of this month, instead of on my birthday, due to some appointments my mother has that conflict with it...

Oh, well...

Another month to go... :P

Thank you, once again I don't feel so bad at turning 39.   So many times I think I'm the old one in the crowd, sometime I'm right others I'm wrong.  Still have a good birthday and wish you luck on lots of unexpected prezzys.  Funny I've seen lots of your work before but never really did anything about it.  Guess that was mostly back in my lurker status so HELLO.

Hello, stranger... ;)

I'm not even the oldest one on IB, nevermind oldest in furry! :)

Yes, I do post things every so often- My writings, artwork done for me, and so forth, and have been around for quite a while... :)

I know there are older furs out there just always nice knowing I'm not the oldest.

And yes I've seen your post and comments for a while.  It's only been a year plus since I started responding and talking about the stuff I see and read but years and years just simply watching.

I was wondering when your birthday was today (technically yesterday now), and thought it probable that you'd post something like this. :p  Well, if I got my act together, I conceivably could have a birthday present for you.

It's always a good idea to give advance warning, just in case... :P Not like there are too many who would, mind you-- You,

are usually the most likely to come up with something... (But then again, I could be surprised by something unexpected from someone equally so.)

Oh heck, thanks for reminding me! Been busy these last few weeks and I'll probably be busy for a few more, so your story might be a bit short this time. Anything in particular you'd like to read about?

Whatever comes to mind, my longtime lutrine friend. :) You have a fair idea what I like-- Squirrels, silliness, whatever... ;)

And leptictidia, of course. I've never worked with one of them...

Yeah, reviving a dead species is always a challenge... ;)
