Since I have finally settled down at home again (I really need to clean up though ^^) I can tackle the promised RP. However, I will change it a bit to allow more players to play and hopefully make it easier for me to manage.
This is how it's going to work:
It will be a zombie survival game. Each interested player plays a survivor with unique skills and together you try to survive as long as possible. The fighting mechanic will be loosely based on D&D but simplified and adjusted for the setting.
Playing will be PBP (Play by Post) on a submission I will be uploading to Inkbunny. I can upload maps, sketches and a condensed story of the happenings of the RP. This way it will (hopefully) turn into a story with pictures.
Now comes the real gimmick. I will use Google Maps to pick a starting point and from there you can decide where you go on the real world map. For example: You run out of food and can check google maps for nearby grocery stores. Then I will tell you what happens on your journey to get food.
I will make some sort of hex grid to separate the map into zones. Some zones are more dangerous others are safe (for example if you clear out all zombies in one area that area is much safer to journey through).
The endgoal is either simple survival or to make it out of the city. The enemies are very lethal and healing is difficult. So if you die you simple make a new character to play (until you got no more NPC survivors in your camp)
Why the change in setting?
First of all I always wanted to GM a proper zombie survival game.
Secondly, I fear I am too busy to RP via livestream (also my PC's videocard crashes regularly when viewing livestream which is annoying as a viewer, but really bad as a streamer)
Thirdly this allows many more players to join (we could even make 2 rivaling settlements fighting for resources).
Fourthly, text based means I can read and maybe even post replies while at work when I got not as many things to do.
If you have questions or want to say that you want to participate (just so I know what to expect) reply here.
I am currently working on the rules and will try to post them this week, so you can make characters.
