Update about the RP - Zombie survival

Since I have finally settled down at home again (I really need to clean up though ^^) I can tackle the promised RP. However, I will change it a bit to allow more players to play and hopefully make it easier for me to manage.

This is how it's going to work:
It will be a zombie survival game. Each interested player plays a survivor with unique skills and together you try to survive as long as possible. The fighting mechanic will be loosely based on D&D but simplified and adjusted for the setting.

Playing will be PBP (Play by Post) on a submission I will be uploading to Inkbunny. I can upload maps, sketches and a condensed story of the happenings of the RP. This way it will (hopefully) turn into a story with pictures.

Now comes the real gimmick. I will use Google Maps to pick a starting point and from there you can decide where you go on the real world map. For example: You run out of food and can check google maps for nearby grocery stores. Then I will tell you what happens on your journey to get food.
I will make some sort of hex grid to separate the map into zones. Some zones are more dangerous others are safe (for example if you clear out all zombies in one area that area is much safer to journey through).

The endgoal is either simple survival or to make it out of the city. The enemies are very lethal and healing is difficult. So if you die you simple make a new character to play (until you got no more NPC survivors in your camp)

Why the change in setting?
First of all I always wanted to GM a proper zombie survival game.
Secondly, I fear I am too busy to RP via livestream (also my PC's videocard crashes regularly when viewing livestream which is annoying as a viewer, but really bad as a streamer)
Thirdly this allows many more players to join (we could even make 2 rivaling settlements fighting for resources).
Fourthly, text based means I can read and maybe even post replies while at work when I got not as many things to do.

I am currently working on the rules and will try to post them this week, so you can make characters.

But not everyone is familiar with D&D. Thus I made a condensed description 8 pages long (almost done... just need a character sheet). Also many things don't apply in this setting or the weighting is different.

In any case it is a quick and dirty adaptation which is not aiming to be perfect.

so I put a bunch of stats in a text file.  it ain't lookin' like a character sheet aside from the attributes and the other stuff in the text.  where can I send it for approval?  I made a version of my unicorn Taras.  she's still Ukrainian heritage, but of a sufficient generation that she never learned Ukrainian, and I picked no languages, so she only speaks Austrian, I guess.

If you want you can show me the file. I may be able to convert it into a character sheet.
And you could be from outwards speaking Ukrainian. It would make communication difficult however.

Also German is the language of Austria.

being a fat lazy stupid american that has, at closest, been to Paris, and that was twelve years ago almost to the day, it shouldn't be a surprise I don't know that.  O also ran into many french people when I was in paris that refused to try understanding what I was saying, even if I tried saying stuff in french, they had no idea.  I'll get more languages later, if I level up.

also, leaving the Ukraine a hundred ten years ago was the thing everyone was doing if they were able to.  and most that were alive to leave never wanted to go back.  I remember my great-grandmother saying how she hated hearing people speak russian all over in Brooklyn, and she was born in Odessa.

There are no levels. You will get minor merits after each mission and sometimes a bigger one for a larger missions.

that sounds like a good way of doing things.
