Due to a recent issue with a piece of my work being edited without my permission and posted offsite (Sofurry & Inkbunny) my work is to never be posted to sofurry.com as of September 4, 2013 4:30pm est.
As well as updated to state that you may not change, alter, modify or edit my signature or the piece you commissioned without my written consent. When you are commissioning me you are not buying the rights to the image, you're buying my services. If you would like to buy the rights to the image, we can negotiate.
I apologize for being stern about this, but please understand I've never had an issue like this happen before. Thank you for understanding.

You could send them an official legal cease and desist/DMCA to remove the artwork. If you did not explicitly state that she could, and when you did you asked her to remove it, then it must be done. Unless you gave her the copyrights to edit the work, but I'm pretty sure you didn't.
