Just got off of the work week from HELL!

by
I started work as a dish washer the Sunday before last for a restaurant I worked for last summer. That Sunday was a 9 hour shift on its own, which isn't too bad... Well I didn't work after that until this last Thursday where I worked for 11 hours, then on Friday I worked for another 11 hours, then again I worked on Saturday but this time for 12 hours, then came last Sunday where I worked for 11 hours and 20 minutes, and then today (Monday September 2, 2013 of course) I worked for ANOTHER 11 hour shift. I have had very little time to do anything for myself these last 5 days and I am severe amounts of pain. For those who may not know (particularly those who live in other countries) this weekend was "Labor Day Weekend", which is APTLY named for people working in the restaurant industry. Business is literally multiplied extravagantly from the norm, it is absolute HELL!

BUT! On the plus side I really impressed my boss who said that I exceeded his expectations and that even though the slow season is starting that he would try and find work for me to do every once and a while, even if it is just small stuff. That would be really nice.

With the money I plan to maybe preorder that nice Wind Waker remake Wii U Bundle from Game Stop, also I want a 3DS XL for the new Pokemon game I preordered (Pokemon X if you are curious at all). But I am also looking at possibly getting a cheap little laptop and/or a graphics tablet with a built in monitor like the Cintiq... Only, you know... One of the cheaper knock off variants. Such as the Yiynova brand...

A Cintiq or a knockoff wouldn't be bad, but I'd just as easily consider a hybrid ultrabook, like a Kupa Ultranote or one of the Sony Vaio 11 or 13 Pro models that have a digitizer on it - or even a Galaxy Note - as cheaper or more functional alternatives.

Could you elaborate more perhaps? I don't know anything about these options. In particular I want info about Stylus Pens.

The only one of those options I know any specifics about is the Galaxy Note.  It uses Wacom digitizer tech, which means that it is POSSIBLE - I don't know for certain - that certain Bamboo or Intuos pens could work on it.
I THINK the Sony models also use Wacom digitizing tech, but I don't know about the digitizer tech the Kupa Ultranote uses.  That PC was actually the first one that got me interested in such devices, to be honest.

Hmm, I will look more into the option, but I looked a while back and all the tablets out there like the iPad seem to suck for drawing with.

On a side note, the 10" version of that "knockoff" brand of tablet doesn't seem to be that bad.

Yeah my sister has that one, and so does one of my best friends. i am highly considering it, although I think I might be a little more interested in a size larger.

Samsung had a press release yesterday that outlined both new Notes - both phone and tablet. I'm interested in the tablet one of course, and with a couple updates over the current gen Note, I may seriously get one.

I'll definitely be looking more into the possibility of getting a new touch laptop. the problem is... I HATE Windows 8.

I've heard that Win 8 is "okay" with an actual touch interface, but I'm with you in that I hate Win 8 as well.  Lasted 20 minutes on my laptop (using a separate drive) before I just completely gave up on it.  I figure if I don't have to use it, I won't.

My sister has W8 on her none-touch laptop and I can't stand it, it is so hard to find ANYTHING I am used to on Windows. I don't even like anything after Windows XP honestly, but at least with a LOT of tweaking I can make Windows 7 ALMOST like XP. That being said, I also messed around with a touch laptop on display at Walmart and I STILL couldn't navigate the POS (HA! Play on abbreviations there. :P)
