Whoa 134 points for me. You get a point for each pass?

No, silly. XB Points are based on finishing position. :B

Do these races have some sort of visual simulation, or is it all text?

I stream the races using NASCAR Racing 2003 Season every Sunday at about 5:00PM EST.

Remember I can't watch the streams

Sorry, had to make the message short since typing on my phone at work is difficult. Anyway, yes, it's completely visual. The Tumblr account has a few screenshots of what the vehicles in the game look like.

Ah I see. Shame I can't watch it myself. Where can I find this simulator?

Amazon or eBay, if anyone happens to be selling it. It's a 10-year-old NASCAR simulator, and it's still in high demand. Used copies tend to go for $60-$100, and sometimes that's disc-only. If you're lucky enough to find a new copy, expect the price to be around $150-$250.

No. I'm not joking. >_> It's why my copy isn't... exactly... legit...

That for a 10 year old sim? Fuck that with a piranha!

The reason it goes so high is the demand, and the demand is so high because of a few reasons. First, customization. Being able to make an entire field of cars in your own designs is a big plus, and you can also make custom tracks, effects, etc. Secondly, it is, to this day, the most realistic simulator ever made. Sierra/Papyrus spent years working with NASCAR, Goodyear, GM, Ford, Pontiac, various racing teams, and others to make sure the physics were as true-to-life as 2002 technology would allow. They mapped the tracks in person, the cars all have actual weight to them (unlike EA's arcade-based NASCAR games; note I differentiate between sim and game), and actual NASCAR race drivers used the simulator to practice new tracks and setups before going out onto the actual track.

But I agree, it's a bit too expensive at the moment. XD I just wanted you to know that there's a reason for it.

Huh. I was expecting to drop in the overall ranking. Guess some people who were ahead of me did even worse then I did yesterday :P

Indeed, and that's what makes the points race so exciting; you're almost never guaranteed to hold a position. That's why consistency is more important than any individual finish.

Knew it'd happen if I went to work. XD And look at Rufus. He was playing possum, the big faker. He really was giving a head start.

The amazing thing is that on the restart, you actually did WELL for a while, and Roofie just kept going backwards. XD

Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Er, I mean, when the pit stops began. XB
