As a personal observation, if SOPA goes through a lot of artists and writers here and on other sites would be eligible for prosecution for doing nothing more than expressing their love of a franchise. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU!
I understand they're trying to stealth it in this time by attaching the bill to something else and not talking about it. the problem last time for SOPA supporters was that it got into the public domain and the public kicked up a storm so opposition have a firm foot against it. this time they've been very quiet and apparently it's worked for them so far as this only came to light a few days ago.

Either way it goes, I'm still signing. The way I see it, if I buy a copy of a CD/DVD/game disc/book, then I've bought my right to do with it what I will as long as I don't try making a business by renting it to others.
