Is your Dropbox getting full? I've been working to revamp the hardware and software behind my storage server. So much so, that it isn't really fair to call it a simple FTP server anymore. Utilizing ownCloud code (read more at http://ownCloud.org ), the web UI is much more attractive and user friendly. Apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android add even more versatility. (The Windows application creates a folder which mirrors and synchronizes with your cloud storage file.) Given the drastic changes, I have also changed the name. Introducing... 5gb Plans are free of charge to members of Inkbunny.net . It is my gift to the community. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it possible to get way more storage than that? Certainly! These requests will be handled on an individual basis as they need to be handled individually. But for users willing to donate $5 per 100gb monthly, extra storage can be provided. I'm not setting this up as a business, because I don't really expect to make any kind of profit. Donations will be allocated toward the cost of running the service.
EDIT: Due to a financial situation it is very possible that my internet may be shut off next month. If you had an empty folder, I simply deleted it. New accounts will need to be made. Since with both programs I never kept the individual passwords, I couldn't migrate old accounts. Any previous SFTP users that DID have data on my server, that data is still here. I don't recommend on relying on this service as your ONLY backup. I back up the data regularly from the server to an external drive in addition to automated backups from the operating system. But if a natural disaster were to destroy my hardware, anything on my server would be toast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any restrictions?
No illegal content (as per applicable US laws). No intentional disruptions of the server's operations or attempts to access data that is not yours. No MP3, FLAC, or any other playable music files; partially a legal matter and partially an unfixed bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do I sign up?
