In a word

Or two? Somewhat appalled.

At what? Well, a new species of animal, unknown to the world was discovered yesterday.

So? Within HOURS, someone (a rather famous/infamous someone) drew up a picture of that animal with a big ol' dangling cock between its legs.

And? I'm not appalled that it exists. It's the internet. My constitution is stronger than that.

Uh huh? It's the sheer speed of this. Like...the very thought that the world could not go by a second longer without this new discovery having sexy-umph pictures drawn of it...it just...

Just what? <sighs and rolls his eyes> I must be having a misanthropic day because there are times I'm proud of humanity and then there are times where I wish humanity would just...not do things like this.

Porn of it could've waited. I doubt that means little to anyone, but it's kind of true. No one asked for it. No one begged it to be made. But apparently, waiting is just not something that could happen in this case.

Far be it for me to ruin everyone else's good time. Not like anyone really listens to me anyhow.

The species in question has been doing the umphty-humpty for some time before anyone found it and drew it, but I understand your point.

My take: If you're going to draw the critter's dong, at least get it right before exaggerating. Accuracy before pr0n.

(After a bit of Googling, I found several photos of the olinguito - they are RIDICULOUSLY cute!)

I don't mind the art. Porn is porn is porn. What gets me is the timing and the release of the art. Hours.

It all seems so...eager for platitudes to me.
