Road Trip

Tomorrow, I get to make a four and a half hour round trip for the sake of a fifteen minute face-to-face interview. I don't actually expect to get this gig, as it's not like I've ever worked with kids before, but at least there's some pretty country along the way.

Have a safe trip and remember to go into the interview with the idea that you will get the job. They will see the confidence!

Well, it's actually a volunteer thing through AmeriCorps, so I think things are a little different than a standard job interview. But thanks.

That's the spirit, ha ha. I went all the way to Toronto to try for a job once and it ended in a total flop. Just part of life, my friend *head pats*

That it is, and hey, at least I made it to the interview stage this time, whatever happens. I figure you might as well find the good in things, as it makes for a much happier life. I'm a tiny bit jealous of Toronto, though! Maybe it's just because I'm a small town girl, but I think it'd be really exciting to have even the prospect of working there.

True, going through the interview itself is good practice, at least. The more you do them, the better you get!

Toronto was super scary though, ha ha. Mostly just the driving part, it was crazy! There were people driving onto the sidewalk through yellow lights. I'm glad Toby was the one driving instead of me. The job was actually for a teaching position in Japan :D 10x cooler than Toronto!
