Jeffy was far from being an intelligent dog, but he lived far longer than many pups. With his age, he was blind, nearly deaf, suffered from arthritis and such, so life wasn't easy around him. He lived a good life, and he was loved. I lived half my life with him and he was my first dog. My father want to get a new one, my mother don't. Not sure what will happen. We took him because the family he was as a pup couldn't keep him, and he was taken from his mother too young which didn't helped with his mental.
Since his stroke, I checked regulary on him. I looked at him this morning before going to work, He woke up and just looked at me. Still not that bad a good bye. I have a picture of him on my desk, guess it's not going to leave any time soon.
Condolences to you =[ I know exactly how this feels. I'm sorry to hear about it. My dog had to get put down too, because he had terrible arthiritis and eventually just couldn't walk. The loss of a pet is never easy but, you just need people around you to ease the pain. Best wishes to you loupy!

I'm so so Sorry Loupy. My basenji died back in 2006 and he only lived to age 15 but we had to put him down because of the pain hes was in. Its never easy to except the death of a loved one. I hope he went peacefully.
