slight delay had to go to the hospital

What I have thought was true I finally got my answer to, by a doctor, I have acute asthma, yep its the cute kind. for almost ten years now I had weird episodes where I would sometimes wake up and not be breathing, and this last time was no different. I was told no one in my family had it so there was no way I could have it, and that's primarily why I haven't gotten a check up for it ever, till now. went to work and almost everyone was making fun of me saying I was making excuses to work real slow all day, but I was really about to pass out, I spent all day 7 hours totally out of breath. But finally my father took me to the emergency room after i got back home and they fixed me right up. Oh btw there was this crazy person there wow was it entertaining. but to say the least I finally can rest easy, knowing the truth, yesterday was probably by far the worst sleep I ever had, if I got any breathing like I was on a marathon run.

for those waiting to see the start of coloring of the Spike x Spike comic, I'm sorry I had not come on today, I did start in the morning fitting the 4th page into the comic frame like I did the digimon x pokemon comic but that's as far as I got.

oh gosh here comes the medical bills XD

Them medical bills indeed.  No need to apologize for not starting.  Obviously your health comes first.  Sucks that you even had to work in that condition.  I hope more folks donate to help cover the bills cost.  Thats a pretty scary thing to happen dude.

heh well im just glad to have some wight off my shoulders, makes me feel kinda good knowing I was right all along, and all I really needed to prove it to my dad was to come close to dieing. ok maybe not that last part, but the knowing what I got and how I can treat it next time since it dose occur rather rarely, is a weight off my sholders >w<

Oh really O3O pretty sure they would donate to spike x spike far before they would help me out there.

Yeah, asthma's no fun. D: I've been dealing with it for my entire life and 3 days ago I had a major asthma attack that didn't let me sleep until last night. :c And I had a breathing machine (not an inhaler because I am just a lost cause with that. lol) that was 10,000 dollars (back when I was a baby it was worth that much lol) and my uncle took it probably for the use of getting high. :T (he's a crack head) But anyways, I hope you do get people to donate (I'm completely useless since I have nothing to donate. xwx)

Yikes, your not a lost cause, surly enough like I have heard in the past this thing could go into remission all of a sudden, and you can get that one part of your life back, I am hoping the same for myself, even though my events haven't been as dramatic. I do wish you the best of luck :3

Oh this is no donation journal, I mean if people wanted to donate to that spike x spike thing thats fine but not my medical bills, I will work hard to pay those >w<

Oh gosh! I am just glad that you are not in danger any more. I feel very sad that you had to go through such a difficult ordeal. I just hope that the medical bill is not outrageous. You are very nice to give us this information, but don't worry at all about delay as I am sure everyone is feeling like me and just want you to be healthy!

Asthma is no joke. I have "mild" asthma, and even with that I found out because at one point in grade 7 or 8, my breathing was so shallow I couldn't walk up the stairs. My father thought I was faking, and yelled at me the whole way to the doctors... today he insists that's not what happened, but his memory often changes to suit his needs. Anyways, the point is, no matter what severity of asthma it is, they all cause shortness of breath, which can leave you weak and often tired.

Thankfully, I generally don't take attacks. I just have a gradual shortening of breath, until it gets too bad and I have to use an inhaler. But if I exert myself, it takes longer to catch my breath than normal.

well thats sad how parents thing such things, my dad did the same for years. Just yesterday he did what he exactly what he had done for several of those years, any time i complain about being too weak and having shortness of breath he says well I got he same thing, and that's just because you have a cold, eat this food I made you and I will get you cold med's tomorrow. Not saying it's not a loving gesture which I did not mind at all, but I would always insist it was something more and I wanted to go see a doctor.  glad this time my words sicked.

I just hope I will be able to cope like you have all this time :3

Or take it up a notch and have an entire Snivy plush wrapped around your inhaler so that the dispenser part would be his penis.

asthma isn't necessarily a genetic disease you can get it at any moment in your life, as an asthmatic myself i recommend you to keep an inhaler near and practice sports that help you to expand your pulmonary capacity (swimming is awesome). oh and also dust is your worst enemy maintain your room clean :). it gets better don't worry.

well my room is about as messy as it has ever been in years, so I must a agree work really needs to be done here, to keep me breathing properly . But I will clean, and knowing what I know now, I really have to maintain a clean space. thanks for your advice there :3

Asthma is a horrible thing to have. From what I have studied from it, no form of it is fun. I am sorry that had to happen but please hang in there.

welcome to the usage of 'roids XD

asthmatic joke aside (I'm one, too), there are fun ways to work on your breathing so you don't have to feel dependent on things.  BTW, does anyone in your immediate family smoke?

I know how you feel. There were a couple of times in the past (In 2012 I believe) where I wake up and was wheezing, trying to get as much air as I can. It was so hard to breathe and I got scared. But then I started to breathe a little better and tried going back to sleep. Not the smartest idea but with no insurance, I was afraid of what the bill might be.

Anyways, good thing you have some prescription. I hope you feel better.

Best Wishes and good health to you, ya silly toasty smugleaf. Maybe the moment you get better you should go around screaming your lungs out and beating your chest like Tarzan.

But then if you do that I'd have think that you've totally gone Primeape.

Medical bills suck, but I lived with asthma most my life. But now it doesn't affect me to the point o believe I no longer have it besides a few episodes of sharp but short chest pains.
