Hi there,
For quite some time I have been noticing that when I do a flat-color smut, it receive a CRAZY feedback, sometimes way more than my full-rendered digital paintng works.... and I am greatly thankful, but I still get confused with this... like, more realistic and 3d the better right? like... you feel the action with depth and it is more detailed... more lifelike...
Some time ago I received a very good critique on some pencil sketches I made, and te dude said: "in pencil, there is more detail, the "fur" is better ..." I was thinking that those 2 things are somewhat related... maybe working outside my shading and lightwork "comfort-zone" subconciously make me do a better job showing all the little details that would normally be part of the shading, inside the lineart....
But I want the oppinion of those ho made me think about it in the first place...
So please, give me a paw to unveil this question :B
