To anyone who wants to add me to their contacts on MSN or Yahoo, please send me an initial message confirming who you are. There's been a huge influx of "social bots" recently, bots that only send out friend requests and don't really do anything else. Their avatars are commonly girls between 16-24 and are usually dressed in something skimpy like a bikini. The names are also uncreative, usually consisting of a first and last name and a small string of numbers.
These invitations are becoming more and more frequent, and I'm suspecting the bots are becoming more subtle and harder to detect. If you want to talk to me and you don't want to be immediately blocked, send a message saying who you are and where you came from. If you don't, you WILL be blocked.
