Struggling out of hiatus.

by
Anyone saw Ace Ventura 2 where the guy is coming out of the ass of the rubber rhino? That's exactly how I'm right now coming out of this long hiatus where I have not updated my comic. But I will eventually come out of it.

Problems and crap abound. From fixing the apartment to dealing with my health problems. Join pain makes the easier stuff hard now. And of course, there is my drinking, which I keep recovering from... just to fall back in head first. The temptation is too strong. It's hard not to. When your life sucks so much and you hate your job with a passion (but need the money desperately) and then there is a magic liquid that comes in a bottle, it's relatively cheap... and it dulls your senses enough to get through the workday. It's hard not to keep drinking, despite the fact next day I feel like total shit and hate myself.

But now the good news. I'm working on my comic again. The Meat Market story will unfold and lots of new information will be revealed about the mysterious cat characters.

Bear with me. I will be scanning and coloring soon.

I love you all. Specially and particularly those of you who have offered support over IM in the last weeks.

I hear ya. I've been kinda out of it work wise lately too. This time of year can be like that. Plus me getting used some changes I've made.

Keep trying. If you quit long enough you will be able to feel how much pain your body is really in and that will be a good incentive to stay dry.

Have you considered trying self hypnosis? If you can program your brain to forget things on your command this would allow you to replace the alcohol. Still no perfect solution, but probably better for your health.

Hypnosis in general don't work on me. But also the problem is I don't want to forget things AFTER they happened. I want to be oblivious to reality WHILE IS HAPPENING.

going by that, the best approach would be to reduce your emotional response to frustration.
Or maybe esoterics, at least it won't hurt. I could send you some templates for good luck charms per email.

I'm really grateful for your good intentions, but those won't help. I'm very skeptic about esoteric stuff and that renders then useless. I'm not saying those things don't work, just that they won't work on me due to my lack of any kind of faith.

Makes sense. But then I am out of ideas. Some kind of self-help groups maybe. All I can do is wish you good luck.
