So Microsoft claims they've "changed", and...

Suddenly, people are thinking that now they're perfect? I must say how fickle that is!

Okay, so supposedly Xbox fans won. They complained about the heavy DRM preventing you from lending, renting, or buying used games, inability to play offline games without a daily check-in, the possibility your right to play any game at all could be revoked if your account was banned for any reason. Yeah, it really is a good thing Microsoft listened and went back on these plans. But honestly, should they be forgiven that easily for having made all these "features" in the first place?

And then there are those of you who where planning on buying an Xbox One even if they did went ahead with such an insane business model that literally punishes people who are unable to afford games at retail price! I'm sorry, but I just simply can't wrap my head around that. Even with these changes, I still have a strong feeling that the Xbox One will be the "Last One" for Microsoft. Yeah, some of you will still buy it, but they won't even come close to matching what success they had with the 360. They'll be lagging against much stronger opposition this time around.

On a side note, speaking of Sony and Nintendo, they're the only one's in the black (at least as far as games go. I'm not sure if this is for the companies as a whole). Sony's taken hits, sure, but they're faring better than Microsoft by being a little over $1.2 million vs MS's -$6.78! And of course, Nintendo's very comfortably in black at $32.88 million without a single year's loss! Of course, this can be attributed to their long history in games which started around the 1981 vs Sony's start in 1995 and MS's start in 2000!

Of course, while money alone doesn't mean popularity, it does tell who can afford to make more misses than the other, it's it's clear that Microsoft just plain keeps stumbling over themselves while Nintendo keeps going up, and Sony, while not perfect, is far from being a slouch!

This generation is still going to be Sony vs Nintendo. Xbox, go home!

well, for me as someone who always only got the playstations (due to not having that much money and prefered PS ever since the first one that I grew up with) I don't get when people now completely go yay for MS because they changed the stupid things they planned to do. It doesn't really matter even for a playstation guy like me if it's microsoft or sony or nintendo. I mean, good that you listened, but really really bad we had to tell you

oh and I'm not completely sure they "really" listened. they might just have seen the pre-order numbers ^^;

The kinect hasn't changed with the "always plugged in" policy.

As far as I know, that's not the case with PlayStation Move 2 (which is essentially like Kinect only more accurate and could possibly take 3D pictures and video.

I know two (I won't name them) who already had.

Well. They can forgive. I won't, you wont, but another forgiving doesn't make them lesser. Remember that.

What makes a console a success or a failure has never been the console itself, unless the console gets in the way. It will alwase be the games.

" Xbox, go home!

Sorry, Home is part of the PlaySation Network.  (I'm not even snarking here, PSN has a 'social hub'/'SL lite' called Playstation Home.

I've only been on Home® for like... 2 hours in the past 3 years.

That beats me, I think I've been on Home for something like ten minutes, thirty if you count all the time trying to figure out the tutorial.
