What's your favorite action adventure cartoon?

I was thinking about a comic revolving action adventure saving the world against an impending evil and i wanted to watch some shows for reference: Here's examples of what I mean:

Jackie Chan Adventures
Xiaolin Showdown
Sailor Moon
Dragonball
Static shock
Captain Planet (I'm not joking X3)
Power Rangers, (not so much the mechs)
Ronin Warriors
Captain N
Legend of Korra
Adventures of Jake Long

Any Feedback is appreciated :3

I used to watch Captain Planet when I was a kid, also the Power Rangers, these were two of my favorite shows. As for what I've liked in modern TV programming, here are three shows:

Avatar: The last Airbender
Danny Phantom
Adventure Time

Oooh yes, Danny Phantom was pretty good, I do miss that show, and Adventure time is pretty good too.  I liked The Last Airbender but not as much as the Legend of Korra.

I never watched many Danny Phantom episodes but I enjoyed the few I did watch. Adventure Time is a funny show, in my opinion, my favorite character is Finn the human. As for The legend of Korra, I've watched a few episodes and the series is quite good as well as entertaining, but without Aang and the other characters from The last Airbender the feeling is not the same.

You're right, Legend of Korra is much different from The Last Airbender.  They went for a much darker tone with it and the characters are much older.  It's really apples and oranges

Also, I was sort of bothered by the fact that Korra could master three elements without having to train. Aang was born an air nomad but he needed training to master his birth element, air. He also needed training to master the other three elements, so, how can this series begin by showing a female avatar that can already master three elements? To me it was a huge jump.

Well my only theory to that is she is 5 years older than Aang was, so she probably mastered the other elements off screen in that time, that and she was a gifted child growing up, from what I recall.  Otherwise, I think they wanted to focus more on the drama and romance of the new more civilized world rather than travel the world to seek all the powers again, which could have proven to be redundant.  But yeh it was a large jump and it's possible it's a plothole contradiction.  I tend to not think about it.

True, Korra was a gifted child, she could bend elements at a young age. Did she manage to master air bending? I remember it was the only element that she was having troubles bending.

You have a good point, a brand new series requires a brand new plot. The story wouldn't be different if we experienced the same that we experienced when we watched The last Airbender. New series, new characters, new experiences.

At the end her bending powers were sealed by Amon, but in a desperate act of emotion, she learned to control air and used it to  defeat him.  Later on, she had a vision from Aang and recovered her bending powers and learned to restore the lost powers of everyone who had theirs sealed by Amon, it was a hokey, sappy ending, but I liked it.

I assume that Amon is the masked man who tried to turn people against benders even when he was one himself, am I right? I thought he disappeared and never came back when Korra exposed him for the liar that he was. I also thought that the series was still being aired, when did it end?

Well Book 1 is over.  They are waiting to air the next book sometime this year.  Amon escaped and most likely will make a return in the future.

Will the entire series be divided into three books like it happened with The last Airbender?

I believe it will be 4 books.

I think I'm starting to feel like watching the show now.

If you want X3  It's a good show on it's own merit

No doubts about the show being good, I only stopped watching it because it felt different. I guess I missed the previous characters as well as their goofiness and craziness, The legend of Korra seemed more serious to me.

Well yes it is very different, but necessarily worse.  It's more of a matter of taste, since both shows are good in their own way.  I prefer Korra because it is more serious but still goofy at times.  I say the only annoying thing I found about the show is they used the same voice for Zuko, for his grandson, which wouldn't be so bad but he still sounds like he's 14, which makes it really awkward considering that the guy looks like he's in his mid 20s-30s

Is general Iroh Zuko's grandson? Because I just watched the final episode and he sounds just like him.

Yeh he is, would be weird if he wasn't related X3

You're also right, he doesn't look like a 14-year-old boy, he looks much older.
