Linguistic Pet Peeve #347

Dear human race:

When something doesn't make sense to you, or seems a might unexpected, the best response is not "ohhhh-... (wait for it) ... KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHYYYYYYYYY...", especially when accompanied by an eye-roll hard enough to cause permanent muscular damage.

It makes you sound like the Nutless Douchebag Prince of the Ages. Oh-KAAAAAAAAAAAAY? =D

Depends on the situation, really. Colloquial exclusion of pronouns aside, I tend to ask for an explanation if I don't understand something, as I've noticed it's slightly more conducive to learning and understanding. In jest and satire, however--especially amongst friends--I've been known to fabricate a wide assortment of random noises, phrases, and interjections. In those -really- stressful, sudden moments, my brain forgoes logical responses and expletives altogether and just shoves out the first thing that was sitting on my verbal platter.

*a swarm of bees comes zooming at me carrying a load of nuclear weapons, spurred on by my ex from high school* WHOA DARRRN!!! *as I seizure my way to anywhere other than here at mach 12* ;-)

Well, that's because you don't take the easy way out and default to "oh, I don't understand this, so that means it's weird and dumb". ;P
