Changing 3D Mousepad Policy

First -

We have completed our Inuki Boobies preorder, and are no longer accepting preorders. Everyone else will be able to buy one in our store when they come in stock.

Second -

Our previous 3D mousepad supplier was unreliable. We've found a new supplier, but he charges more. This means that designs going forward will be $25, not $20. Also, no more plastic clamshells. We had to trim them for domestic shipping and throw them away for international shipping anyway, and they usually got damaged before we even got them.

Third -

Because of the increased cost, we will no longer be running mousepad preorder programs except on designs we specifically commission. It simply takes too much of our resources, for designs that ultimately fail. Instead, what we will offer is a distribution deal - artists are encouraged to come to us with a proposed design, then run the preorder themselves, and submit to us the names and addresses of the preorder customers, along with the money necessary to fulfill their orders. Once this is completed, we will sell the remaining product in our store, and distribute a share of the profits to you.

We apologize for our shift in policies, but do understand it was necessitated by problems with our supplier. We are still offering you these items at the lowest prices we reasonably can, and ensuring that the quality of the product is as high as it can be.

"Nothing personal, it's just that business is business."

All your actions so far have been quite reasonable, you guys are taking the business aspects of all this seriously, and making your decisions based on what will make/lose money for the company.  Not many people realize that a company that cannot make enough money to cover its costs soon goes out of business.  Everything you've done so far with the policy changes s to ensure that we will be able to get our furry snuggle pillow fix from you for many years to come.

A applaud your actions, you have a level head on your corporate shoulders, and your open honesty about the reasons behind the decisions proves that you are looking out for us, the customers, by making sure you're around to service us.

Which is more than most companies do; the big corporations shift into 'make money at all costs, share no information unless forced to' mode, and many 'micro businesses' (such as the traditional setup of a single furry doing commissioned arts and crafts) either neglect the business side of their business and end up financially unable to continue, or they fail to communicate clearly with their clients and then take the resulting backlash personally, leaving the business world in a big ragequit.

More furry companies & entrepreneurs need to base their mission statement off of yours: 'Try to be the company we wish we were buying from.'

When my budget will allow, I'm going to order a Shiela Vizen and a ZigZag from you guys.
