I agree. I do not believe anyone is born str8 or gay, they develop their sexuality and can change it over their lifetimes. I've know many people and we see many who start out str8, have kids even, then "turn" gay. Popular opinion is they WERE gay and their straight lives and loves were invalid or them trying to hide their sexuality. When Kinsey did the first scientific study of sexuality, just observing what was, he noted that people went through phases of both gay and straight and bi. Most were "straight" but even those often went through "gay" phases. (college for most ahem heheh)
I think the labeling of sexuality and defined roles is purely a political thing to make gayness a political class like rights in order to get increased rights (which I'm also against as most rights in the US means your taking rights away from others) and yes I do think you have the right to be prejudiced and even operate prejudice business, just the government can't enforce your prejudice or enforce prejudices against you. If your business (or church) wants to recognize gay marriage so be it for example.
The really harmful thing in this born-sexual political propaganda, is that those with sexual misconduct are encouraged to believe that they too are born that way. Such as a pedophile will always be a pedophile as they too were "born that way" damn you gaga! they can't change and can't be cured, which has led to crazy punishments like sexual offender lists for life, life imprisonment, and even castration. It totally denies freedom of choice and to change of the individual.

The question itself seems to suggest that gender is import to everyone's sexuality. It doesn't apply to me at all. I am not sexually attracted to one gender over another, nor does gender come into play at all for me. Saying that I'm bi, would be the closest of those choices, if I was limited to them. But, that alone suggests that gender matters, or that I even think of it. I don't though. My sexual orientation could be best described as a plushophile/urophile. It crosses all boundaries of gender, species, age or color. It has to do more with sharing the same feelings and attraction, than the physical characteristics of the person. It's not so easy to explain, but the question really is irrelevant to some people like myself. Pansexual would be a closer approximation of my sexual orientation, but that is rarely included as an option. Pansexual at least opens the door to sexuality that is not limited to gender attractions.

I think everyone is on a bisexual spectrum and no one is absolutely 100% straight or gay, but tend towards one or the other. With humans I'm strongly male biased, with anthropomorphic artwork I am more on a spectrum and tend more towards females the more "feral" the artwork.
