Why can't i draw!!!

it's been weeks since i drew anything. I can not for the life of me draw a decent picture. I'm not sure what's up but I'm hating everything i draw. Why has inspiration left me? has other been feeling in a slump lately?

not sure what that means?

It means to get over yourself by a means and then fix it up once your finer senses return. :o

AKA get drunk, lack inhibition, have fun and then do damage control later :3

wish it was that simple. don't drink and getting inspired is not enough reason to start

Hehe, that's fine. :3

But, drinking in itself isn't a bad thing, just what you do if you've had too much. Nothing wrong with having a couple fingers of whiskey on the rocks while reading after a long day. Classic fifties gentleman, awh yeah. c:

What about just like, drawing for half an hour or so while listening to music that makes you zone out? Just kinda like, see what you can do under a self imposed deadline?

I'd suggest at least trying to draw, and not letting yourself get rusty. I can't begin to tell you how many times that happened to me.

Yyyyyyyyep, though mine is less of a slump and more of an anxiety related issue.

Most artist don't like their own art and it gets harder after you have been drawing so long. Maybe with a break you will find it easier again or think of new poses to be happy with. ''HUGS''

My recommendation, draw from life, or I could send my 100 part draw it list. Both have proven to break art blocks in many people. Draw random things out in the world, people included. Even if it looks crappy, at least it gets you drawing.

I can explain the list if I wind up sending it.

100 part draw it list?

A list of 100 random themes. One to three are chosen blindly by either pointing with your eyes closed or using a D100 or two D10s. Doesn't matter what's drawn as long as something is put on paper. It's a practice that gets one putting lines down without caring about quality so much as just getting one thinking.

and that is exactly the reason why i started doing that. if you look through my gallery youll see my backgrounds are shit and last time i was in an artblock i used that time to practice backgrounds and i was happy with the results.

make sure to use a picture from reference.
