Just kill me now...

So, about three weeks ago, I thought I sprained my ankle while doing some sports with fellow classmates on my last week of school.

Sadly, I was not wearing the proper shoes for the activities and that was what caused the sprain.

Now, I had played baseball for 13 years of my life, football for about eight, soccer for three, and you get the idea. I know what it's like to sprain an ankle so I thought nothing of it. Walk it off, it'll be sore for about a week-and-a-half, two weeks tops. As long as I walk on it to keep the tendons loose and keep the load light, I'll be good to go.

As expected, my ankle swelled up quite nicely and I was in some pain, but I was able to walk on it with some discomfort at first. Then by about day four I had a rather noticable limp. I thought perhaps the problem was that I was working nine hour shifts at work and that was too much for the ankle.

So I called-in for about a week, despite the fact my superiors knew that I was injured, I nearly lost my job over it. Sounds to me they were mad at me cause I made their jobs difficult for a week, but that's a whole other rant.

I thought the week was what I needed. I was able to keep off my foot, I was able to walk more and more on it. I stopped taking asprin to combat the pain. I even returned to work and my foot, while would show discomfort from time-to-time, seemed to be getting better.

Then I worked a full shift yesterday, my first full shift in over a week. Once more, foot seemed fine; ninety percent of the day I didn't even notice my foot issue. But then I woke up today and suddenly my ankle ballooned back up, pain was back as if I had done it nearly days ago.

I'm going on almost three weeks ago since I injured it and not I'm not sure it's sprained anymore...

I would love to go see a doctor, but at the moment I do not have medical insurance. So I would have to pay out-of-pocket. Which, in of itself, is not all that bad, a standard walk-in would only bog me down $100.

The problem is....

With me taking that week off from work, I threw myself in a really bad financial bind. I threw all the money I made from my pathetic paycheck to make sure my car was paid. I ended up missing rent, and now, my next paycheck is going to be gone to make up for the missed rent and other bills I missed due to lack of funds.

That means my foot either needs to start showing signs of improvement, or I'm not going to be able to head into a clinic for another month while my finances catch up. None of the clinics I called would allow for payments, they wanted the money as I left their office.

So here I am, hungry, in quite a bit of pain, I have another full shift tomorrow and I can't risk calling-in cause management seemed to give me the firm vibe that I was on thin ice with them (which I think is BS).

Just... Fuck my life. I just want a break every once in a while. I really don't know what to do about this but tough it out and hope I'm not doing permanent damage to my foot and liver (liver for all the asprin).

And to answer, yes there are free clinics in my area but lets just say that I don't match the... client base they look for to offer free medical assisstance to.

EDIT:
You know, I feel really bad for asking but:

If anyone would at least spare a couple of dollars to toss my way. I'd really appreciate it, not to cover the trip to the clinic but at least so I can get something from the dollar menu would be great.

If anyone tosses me more than $10USD, I'll give them a sketch.
