Sometimes

Sometimes, I wonder why on Earth I still write my little stories. If there's any point to even trying, and if anyone even cares to read them or not.

Then I actually post my work here, and I'm reminded all over again why I keep it up. I might not get a lot of readers for my work, but I do get them, and some of you leave really awesome comments, too. So I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time to read one of my stories, whether you commented or not, and to everyone who has expressed interest in reading my work as well. I will always write, no matter what, but you guys make it all feel worth the effort.

hehe you do great stories hun, i unfortunately have difficulty reading them due to my migrain disorder but i do read them ^^

Aw, thanks, I'm glad you enjoy them when you do get a chance to read them. And I certainly appreciate your taking the time to do so.

I'm currently looking into ways to help improve readability for my stories. I know that sites like InkBunny aren't always so great for people due to the formatting, or just because of reading off a monitor. So if you have any ideas for what might make things easier for you to read, please do let me know and I'll see what I can do.

That is why the texts are downloadable. :) IB easily supports .txt, .rtf and .doc, but doesn't accept .pdf or .epub (a shame!), or even .html... One need not be tethered to that blasted reading window, if one not need be! :)

I usually download them, convert to .html in TextEdit (yes, I'm a Mac user), then compile 'em with a simple .epub compiler called "eCub", then send them to my iPod touch and read away, when I have the time and energy. :)

All very true, and they're definitely good options. But I'm always open to new ideas, too, just so I can cover the broadest range possible.

Though I definitely agree that it's a shame that IB won't support .pdf, as that's what I've converted most of my finished work to. Ah well, it does well enough for what it is, and I'm just grateful to have a place where I can post my work at all.

I prefer .epub, myself, because it's device-independent. :) .pdf is intended as a portable document printing format (an extension of Encapsulated Postscript), and despite its ebook mode, isn't that device-independent (and uses ALOT of resources)...

well for me ((not sure how it is for everyone as i still get complaints about it)) but its easier for me to read a story when every couple sentences are double entrered

helps keep my eyes on the sentence and also alieviates the stress on my eyes and the after party migrain lol

you do write great stories though and i do enjoy what i have read so far *hugs*

Yeah, that's the problem with both .rtf and .txt files. They completely fuck up my formatting. All the original drafts of my stories are double spaced, because that really is much easier to read, and it's pretty standard when you want to submit things to real publishers. But between the .odt format being really nasty about swapping formats, and the fact that anything I post on IB gets completely twisted no matter what I try, the work I upload here tends to suffer quite a bit.

Sorry for the harsh language. But this is why I post everything in .pdf format on FA, and why I've been so slow to upload my work anywhere else. I'm still working on trying to figure out how to make things easier to read here, though.

Heh. I get you about formatting. I am completely OCD about Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5 line spacing, full justification, half-inch indenting. It drives me nuts when works aren't that way, and I will usually reformat something in Word before reading it.

Oh, there's not really any getting behind on my stories. I certainly don't expect people to read them anything like as quickly as I post them. People are more than welcome to read my work at their leisure, and whether that's a day, a month or a year after I've posted them that's perfectly fine. But I am glad that you enjoy my work when you do get the chance, and I certainly appreciate your taking the time!

I admit that I haven't read your stories yet, but I fully intend on doing so when I'm not buried in my queue. But I hope you never let anything discourage you from writing.

To be fair, I haven't read much of your work, either. Though I certainly plan to do so! I've just been wrapped up in my own projects lately. But thank you for your interest, and for your encouraging words. I'll always keep writing, never fear about that, and I'll always share my work so long as there's someplace for me to do so. And I hope that you will keep it up, too. From what I have read, you're really good.

Well, thank you for that comment, it was nice to wake up to. I try. Some days, it isn't easy, but I have noticed the improvements in my works over the past several months. Sadly, my best works are not my most popular ones, but I hope with the additional watchers I have gained writing others' characters, such as River Ruddington and Estrid Pandra, will help to bring my own characters into the spotlight.

As a former writer, I understand your plight ^^; Most people on sites like this (or the forums I used to post my loli/cub erotic fiction) come for the visual and not the literary.

So they do, and I'll admit that, sometimes, I wish my stories could get half the attention my art commissions do. On the bright side, though, I'm just glad to have anyone reading my work, especially since most of my stuff is pretty light on the erotica.

It's a shame you gave up on the writing, though. From what I've seen, you have a great imagination!
