"To this day, he is a stick of TNT lit from both ends; could describe to you in detail the way the sky bends, in the moments before it’s about to fall; and despite an army of friends, who all call him an inspiration, he remains a conversation piece between people who can’t understand; sometimes becoming drug free has less to do with addiction and more to do with sanity"

I saw this when I went to Furry Fiesta in February. It was very moving for me.

Pretty good poem.  It does seem like this problem is getting worse as time goes on rather than better.

It's a great poem, and the combination with the animation makes for powerful stuff. My own childhood and adolescence was marked by occasional bullies. The sad truth is, I had more ability to deal with it than kids today mostly do. Oh, sure, there's "bullying awareness" or whatever. But what happens when a kid gets sick of it and finds the sand to fight back against a bully? Expelled and charged with felony assault, sure as hell.
If the ridiculous "zero tolerance" policies so popular now had been in place when I was a kid, I'd never have made it past fifth grade. Shit, we used to fight all the time. Now it seems that any kid who steps even a little out of line winds up drugged in to submission with manufactured diagnoses and ever more powerful pills.
Ah fuck. This turning in to a rant, so I'll just say thanks for the moving video and encourage all bullied kids to fight back, but never let your school or the cops find out.
