In many ancient cultures, 10 was the age of responsibility for ones own actions and fate. To me that is a good age to no longer call cub and call teen, if using a human aging scale to compare against. I know I began becoming sexual at that age, though my first human partner wasn't until I was 20.

I've always thought of cub and teen as overlapping categories... with teen being the dictionary definition of 13-19, and cub being under 16 or so.

There is one more category used in the pagan community; tween. Generally 10-13. For youths too old for the child-geared activities but too young for the more mature-oriented teen activities.

hmm I found that wiki says its around 8 to 12 for girls as it says there (for girls) "too old for toys, too young for boys"

"Cub" is definitely under "teen" though I have never heard of "teen furry art". Please don't tell me you are doing cub porn. I fuckin' despise that shit.

oh thanks I try :) oh and teen Furry art.. Its all over, in fact we see it everyday but it doesn't say teen cuz that would make trouble. but think about those very cute girly looking bois and girls that look almost flat, if they were human how old would you say they look?

Its my understanding that "cub" refers to a character who looks 10 & under.
That being said its not a far stretch to consider that stuff drawn child porn but thats just my opinion.

I would consider anything less than sexually mature to be cub really. 15 or maybe 14 is stretching it a little, less than that I would consider cub. Or how about 13, since it is the first number that actually has the word 'teen' in it ;p

I would say cubs are prepubescent or pubescent, like up to ~13. Teens are generally mostly developed.

Technically, anyone that's still a minor is a cub, so >18. However, I believe most people consider cubs as prepubescent, around 12 or younger.

I don't think there's a clear-cut, set-in-stone, hard-and-fast separating line between the two.
"Cub" = "child"; if you'd consider it a child in the real word, it's a cub.
"Teen" = "teenager" = 13-19, and/or pubescent.
The two can overlap depending on any arbitrary cut-off point of "childhood".

You could use the -philias as a guideline:

Infantophilia: Sexual preference for very young individuals (ages 0-5).
Pedophilia: Sexual preference for pre-pubescent individuals (ages 6-10).
Hebephilia: Sexual preference for individuals in the early years of puberty (ages 11-14).
Ephebophilia: Sexual preference for mid-to-late adolescents (ages 15-19).

My 2¢ is that anything before puberty is 'cub', but then again we're talking about anthros, animal human hybrids, and animals physically mature much faster than humans. Dogs are sexually active after 1 year, for example, so the number of times around the Sun may not be a good standard to go by here. I'd imagine that most people would decide on appearance alone, but some people are silly and think even 1 second before turning 18 = cub.

I lost my virginity the summer I turned 13 so its hard to say. "Cub" and "Not legal" are different things though. I think of cub as prepubescent. "Not Legal" varies from country to country.
