I've been not okay. Been helping my mom out. She had surgery on her ankle and I've been taking care of her. That I don't mind though.Lost both my jobs, My aunt tried to commit suicide, My uncle started to drink again, my brother's picking fights with his friends and both him and his friends are trying to drag me into it, I've been paranoid over every tiny thing lately and been stressed to the point of crying at a drop of a hat, my dog's trying to kill my cats at every chance she can get, and my dad's been worryingly tired, which makes me paranoid he might be developing diabetes, and I'm pretty sure everything is falling apart.

One day I found an ad for a smartphone sold as faulty for ultra cheap price (I was excited, he didn't know it was a easily fixable software problem), so I contact the seller and meet him.
To my astonishment the guy worked as a "holy healer" and was dressed sort like an hawaiian shaman, I mention that I create apps for Android and iOS, he exclaims it is divine intervention that make us meet because he wanted to create an app for a long time, I spend the whole day listening to his idea, boring new age theories and life story, then we agree on the price for the app.
Next day I receive an email from him, he changed his mind and prefer to create the app by himself AND ask me to teach him everything I know (Seriously?!?), I'm beginning to rage, made me lose a whole day for nothing AND has the nerve to ask me this absurdity? FFF---...How dare you?! I do not want to "create enemies", so instead of insulting I recommend him some books and courses to read on the subject and said that was all I could do.
Next day I receive another email, he changed his mind again and want me to create the app -FOR FREE- with the promise he will spread the word among his "VIP friends" that work for Apple, Microsoft and Google (yeah... sure... I believe it... totally).
I answer that I will consider his offer and will contact him as soon as I finish other urgent projects, never contacted him again :)
Unfortunately, things like this happen to me all the time, because people do not realize the hard work there is and do not have the intelligence to realize that this kind of offers are the equivalent of going to a car salesman dressed as a tramp and pretend from him a Ferrari for free because you will spread the word to his important friends how good your car is, implying that people feeds on air.

a place to vent eh? well lately I've picked up the nickname of squid. being pulled in 8 different directions at work and getting not a fucking thing done before being shunted to the next task. beyond that the weekend supervisor was found out to be fucking the week-day super... maybe that's why all the insulation is wet. anyway, the yard foreman's "punishment" is "go to your room" so he gave both supervisors a 3 day suspension. i agree that something should have been done however short staffing your own crew and removing both supervisors is not the best solution. so here i am cleaning C.F. helping customers tending to my autostack building orders doing deliveries training the new guys (everybody for that matter because not 1 of them can read the fucking signs i put up all over the damn place) siding logistics and now dealing with management's decision to carry a new type of insulation (that was supposed to be shipped off to another store) i relish a challenge and love the hard work but damn it, i don't have a leg to stand on. on Thursday (05/09/2013) i moved 1700lbs of siding into a customer's truck. so needless to say I'm pretty dead when i get home..... however..... i never stay dead Ain't No Rest For The Wicked i suppose

Have to help watch my youngest brother 24/7 due to him being autistic, 18 years old with a 7 year old metallity, and has photosensitive seazures that result in full body convultions along with vomiting, twice which he's been found choking on.
Worst part, due to his immature mindset, he won't stop TYRING to have a seazure, becuase it gives hi ma sort of "high" JUST before he goes into such a seazure.
Add to that he on;y rememebr the pleasure and not the seazure, well...

I think the only things that really upset me are that given most anything we need to solve problems today was shown to be working in the 70s, its not that its not used to day, but if you Try and use it today, its slapped down immediately, because its patent invalid by prior art, and so cant be restricted.

Look at Bluetooth, Wifi. Want massive amounts of fresh water to supply your country? OTEC units generate it as a waste product at tons a second when their primary output is electrical power. Of course, teh mineral concentration and fish swarms are yet another waste product.
Wouldnt it be nice if computer companies were legally required to actually follow basic standards, so that text displays, pixel displays, and keyboard inputs etc all used the same code. Sure, they can add on whatever extensions they like, but they couldnt keep them secret, how else could they stop pirates from hacking, reverse engineering, then seling for a lower sale but higher cost price?
If Watson is so good at handling games, and complex medical stuff,a nd it being upgraded for use in the LEgal department, why the Hell havent they done the bloody obvious, loaded in the vastly more restrictive and absolutely defined compiler and programming functions, and got Watson to be a DaVinci class programmer? Its first job? Program Watson.
