Why is every other artist I watch....

A freakin drama queen? either that or they tend to be suicidal, or thinks no one loves them. Shits getting old! D:

Furries are furries for a reason. It isn't because they are rich and gregarious.

majority of artists tend to be like that. perhaps the want to spend more time with art over interactions leaves people in situations when they finally do interact with a large amount of people they don't know how to cope

but thats all excuses people just need to stop whining and think about how much their lives are better then starving children in africa >_>
MystBunny
10 years, 11 months ago
Don't know about the comparing your lives to starving children part. Personally that wouldn't work for me, only make me angry or even more depressed, because our country alone has the wealth to end that for good. Still, it really gets to me when someone says "nobody likes me, and nobody will notice if I disappear" 24/7, without a hope of proving them wrong.

I hope you don't mean US when you said our country has the wealth because the US is in massive debt.
MystBunny

I'm not talking about our government specifically. I'm mainly talking about our insanely wealthy corporations giving out 6, 7 figure bonuses like lollipops
LioMynx
10 years, 11 months ago
There's a lot of big time corporations donating millions of dollars into charity every year.  Even Microsoft does it.

They could do more. Not saying they should sell off their assets or anything, but they could do more without feeling the slightest pinch.

Because, art is largely about expressing emotions and motivated by emotions, and most artists are overemotional people, otherwise they wouldn't be artists to begin with. And emotions can be hard to deal with.

The less emotional artists will probably be those who don't express themselves, but rather only do it as a job task.

I guess I belong to the latter then.

Old history.... ears cutted, suicidal painters, drug addict sculpters.... that history doesnt belong to fur fandom.

Even you FF... 9.9... sometimes you're into your own post.

Actually involves emotions.... That's one of the first steps :3... As a big o little they are, that's why you are an artist ^_^.... But Isn't really bad at all, is just.... Well... Art comes hand by hand with feelings (and drama) XD.... Just don't let others' dramas drown you :3.

Im not all drama, tho im far from the best artist. X3
Im currently in progress of getting a house, i have a dog, a boring job wich i will make better, and live together with my mate and a friend. Getting a new fursuit soon and what worries me the most is hiw i can cut down on things to be able to put aside some money sometimes  My life is pretty good. ^^ and im sure most other arists are the same or even better. Dont forgrt that when it comes to drama people tend to make it sound alot worse then it really is because they are in the middle of it. So dont take everything people say serious when they whine. ;3

so you've been around for 11 years. I've been around 19 years. Trust me, Your not the first to think like that. to paraphrase Fallout (The game) Drama, Drama never changes. Well, It kind of does, but it's been around since I got into it. Honestly, I haven't notice TOO much extra drama these days then in days past. Some of it maybe more extreme now a days, but Drama from artists has been around for a long time.

No worries though, Just concentrate on your own feelings and try not to get sucked into others drama when you can. Life is to short. Oh, And of course keep up the wonderful works you put out. We all love them and love you too. ::hugs::

I believe that Emotions are hard to control at some times by some people. (including me)
For me, I tend to hold up pretty well, though I have my fair shares of 'mental breakdowns' hell, at times I even hate people (including close friends) for absolutely no reason at all (or trivial reasons). Once I'm out of the 'negative zone'? I'm happy 'n hyperactive. =P
I can be a great contrast to myself some times.

Reasons why I 'rarely' express my anxiety outbursts is because I made it a rule for myself to prevent all online activity once I start feeling bad about myself or others. Though, sometimes it doesn't always work or I realise it too late and then you get one of those 'whiney' journals. =w=

Let's not forget that the taboo nature of this niche also has a lot of haters, and not everyone has the ability to adjust to hatred with a stone face or a chuckle.  This is especially true of the hate actually leaks out of the websites and starts affecting an artist's personal life.

I think the problem arises when people start putting it out there like everyone wants to know everything about how bad they feel at every second of every day... really makes the legitimate problems IE: abuse, harder to see through the fog.
FlyingFox
10 years, 11 months ago
Cept we really dont want to know, or at I dont want to know. I would much rather read about how they got a new kitten or something.

They have to get attention somehow. It's not because they are artist, it's just a personal problem.

I don't think it's the fact that they're artist, I just think they have more visibility than other folks.  It's not surprising to see that attitude pop up again and again in the furry community because a lot of the people here seem to feel alone, few real life friends and few life prospects.  The furry community is also particular since compared to many others, people tend to talk a lot about their personal lives.  Doesn't mean that other people don't feel the same, maybe they don't express it as much.

has made at least 4 of these journals thinking nobody loves him and wants to kill himself for that reason since i've watched him and then later deletes the journals, keep in mind i haven't been on inkbunny long but i'm tired of seeing it. i'm pretty sure a lot of people do it but since inkbunny updates when people post journals it's more noticeable here

You have to be a drama queen or egotistical to be a furry artist. B-P
bbmbbf
10 years, 11 months ago
i guess is the part sensitive of the artist combined with general and well know dramatic side of the furry fandom... (i almost say a word but it will sound a little homofobic).. it also have to do with the need to get more attention of some people
TheShinyTreecko

At least from what I've experienced, when you spend all your time online, it becomes your main outlet for everything.  I really wasn't a drama queen years ago, but I certainly didn't hesitate on expressing EVERYTIME I was in somewhat of a bad mood, or a good mood, or depressed blah blah blah XD  It wasn't until I left the internet for a few years that I learned how to separate my RL feelings from my online feelings.  So now when I come online, I drop all my stress and BS at the door, because the internet to me is my little break from my personal life. The last thing I want is to drag all my stress and Bullshit to the one place I come to relax.  It's a tough thing to do, but once you get the hang of it, life is so much more amazing XD

excuses excuses. If people are this emotional online how are they in RL?? Like if something goes wrong they are gonna run around the mall with a tail and ears spraying lead from an AK. XD   Im really hoping people can handle their emotions better than described here because seriously broadcasting it to a bunch of random people ( who 9/10 dont give two shits) is not a smart way to handle negative emotions. Im sure none of you run up to the tallest structure in your immediate vicinity and screamed " I have emotional problems!!!!" into a microphone. It make you look really stupid so why do it here?
