Opening Commission slots soon!

Just a heads up for everyone to keep an eye out this coming week or so for when I open up slots again.

I think I might only open up 3 this time just to keep it low and simple and keep my workload in check.

Policy on Sketches:

$15 for single character
$3 for each additional character
$2 on top if my character is any of the included ones (this is to cut back on the commissions involving me because people seem to think I'm conceited for drawing myself so much xD)

1 character sketch = $15
2 character sketch = $18
2 character sketch (if one of the two characters is me = $20
3 character sketch = $21
3 character sketch (if one of the two characters is me = $23

and so on.

Now since I'm still a fairly novice artist, prices are subject to change depending on the content and the "fees" will be for the time I spend studying new concepts if I have to. But for the most part, this shouldn't -really- apply.

For example, if I'm asked to draw a nude human female, I may have to charge double or even triple to try and cut down on that content from being produced as well as the time I'd need to spend studying new concepts that I'm not particularly interested in. It is -my- art after all.

Everything beyond the Sketch stage is up to you for now. You can pay what you want for colour/shading/background, etc.

I'm not accepting early slot requests, and it'll be first come, first serve. Keep in mind I'm also accepting commissions via Furaffinity and my Facebook page, so even the fastest on here may not get them. I'm sorry to be so reserved right now, but I'm a very low-stress worker and I need to make sure I can actually handle what I have to do.

That feel when you have no money.

Ah well, maybe next time.

Note to self: get a job.

I've seen a lot of your art here and I'd love to get a commission from you hehe.  Although I only see sketches listed on your price guide.  Since I see you have a pay what you want scale beyond the sketches would I be okay in assuming I could get 2 separate full color cub commissions (one two character male and female, one male pinup) (no extravagant backgrounds) for around $60?  If so I'd love to be added to your list!  :3

You're almost right. My "new concept" fee would apply for the picture involving the female character considering I've drawn one once before and have basically 0 knowledge on the subject.

Part of my policy is that I take part in drawing what I'm interested in outside of commissions, so paying for something I'm primarily good at would cost less as incentive to get an overall better outcome for the commissioner, and to make my job easier by lowering the chances of somebody paying me to draw something I'm not necessarily comfortable with.

In essence, I wouldn't ever practice female anatomy on my own time, and if I've been commissioned to, the fee applies for a concept that I'm not familiar with (and in some cases, not fond of), but only for the first time drawing that concept.

Ok, I think I understand.  Basically because you aren't familiar with the subject you need time to study and make sure you do a good job.  That's not a problem.  So based on that then, would I be correct in assuming that $75 ($50 and $25) would be acceptable for both of those cub commissions?

I usually like to give the artist most of the control over the commission so long as I can see the naughty bits and/or action as possible.  So it would be a position that you feel comfortable drawing.  I also find that artists put forth their best work when they draw something they like and in their own way rather than "you must draw me this way, with this specific thing, you must finish by..., etc...".

Would you be open to doing those two commissions for that?  If so, I'd like to go with that and commission you for the two pictures.  There is no rush as long as they are done within a reasonable amount of time of course.  ^^

Well I can't guarantee that you'll have a slot once I do open, but yes you have it correct now.

I don't know what you consider a "reasonable time" though, because I am nowhere near being a quick artist x3

I'm a very patient kitten hehe.  A reasonable amount of time for me is 2-3 months and even then I don't mind waiting longer as long as the artist stays in touch with me and gives me updates.  I understand that life happens and sometimes that takes priority.  I don't like to rush artists.  I like it when they take the time they need to complete their best work.  It just comes out so much better when the artists aren't feeling rushed and have this super harsh deadline.

There is of course a breaking point though where enough is enough.  I recently finally got one artist to refund me after waiting almost 3 years.  They wanted me to pay up $75 up front so I did in good faith.  The artist just disappeared for about 1.5 years, then contacted me about it to which I was very understanding and asked that the pictures be completed now that the artist was back because I understand that life happens.  Then the artist disappeared for another year, wouldn't return any of my attempts to contact them, and finally came back a few months ago.  After contacting them again and asking that the pictures be completed (still nicely I might add).  Then they started taking more commissions and doing other people's stuff instead of finishing what was already owed.  That is just way too excessive.  At that point it's just bad form and I have to admit I was more than a little bit miffed and was pretty short with them.  To the artists credit though they did refund the money.

Even if I do miss the chance to commission you when you open them (which I probably will because I work nights and don't get up until about 1pm and then work until 11pm), I would love it if you have some kind of a list that I could be added to for a commission from you.  I really don't mind waiting if it takes a while to complete as long as there are updates from the artist and the commission actually gets done before taking more commissions or at least at the start of the next batch.  I really do love your art and would love to get something from you.  hehe  ^^
