Fiiiinnnaaalllllyyyyy!  After what's felt like forever I've finally gotten a job.  In a few weeks I'll be starting a position as a java developer.  I'm so happy and relieved all at once, my mother compared me to a kid who's opened up that one toy on Christmas day.

This also means I'm about to be moving, as my new job is roughly 4 hours from where I live now.  So, over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be packing up and dealing with that.  So to my friends, if I ignore a message for a little too long it's probably just that I'm busy and afk.  To everyone else, sorry, but it's going to be even longer than expected before I post anything new.

Looking forward to taking this step forward in my life, just not for the pain the butt that is apartment hunting.  :V

Congrats, dude! I figured all those years of school had to pay off eventually. :D

Sure you're okay with programming in Java, though? I mean, of all things, that's a pretty shitty break =P

Java isn't too bad, I've done quite a bit in Java in the past. Nah, what would have reeaaally been a shitty break was this company I interviewed with a while back who wanted everything done in COBOL... XD;

AH! That's nice to here indeed. Glad to see programmers getting jobs.
Good thing you aren't using Fortran. Those old timers always talk about it like it was godly lol

While Java is not my first choice in languages, it is a good language. I hope you enjoy your new job, and get lots of good experience from it. The challenge and thrill of solving problems with code is the same in every language, so the skills you learn here will carry with you to later jobs in life.
