Quick Question

I think a more effective way to commission someone is have your money ready but don’t send it to them until they’ve finished their pic and once they finish the pic you send them payment once payment is sent the pic is then uploaded. It’s more effective because you don’t go thru “this asshole stole my money I’m asking for a refund but the policy is no refunds” or “I finished the pic but they won’t send me payment :(“ What do you guys think… also does it make sense to anyone to commission others over characters that already exist like a commission of Babs and Buster bunny doing things :/ don’t you think the artist can do that on their own or are they that blocked/lazy… Comment as you see fit

To each thier own.

I personally take money upfront, (to quicker help my parents) and i have a good track record, i may take a while at times, but i geter done! :3 it all depends who your dealing with, be it case of commisher, or the artist owo

Also, fan art is a popularly commished thing lol, some people favor fan stuff over thier own, or fan stuff with thier char, EX:

I don't mean fan characters, I mean characters from the actual show, VG or series with another character from that same show series or crossover... it makes no sense to me why not use your own character in the pic unless its the artist policy that they do characters from the series only then that when I op out period no money for you :P but thats my opinion

i was talking the actual too- lol, Fan art is art of the chars from the thing, if i meant fan chars i would have said fan chars, XD, Teemo is actual from league, not a fan char, |3

Its not going to happen. 99% of all artists want it first, so they dont
feel like theyll be getting jipped.

Isn't that like the same issue for commissioners? You see my point if it's equal like in my description then there are no problems... The commissioner doesn't worry about the commission and the artist doesn't get ripped off because you don't post a pic if it's not paid for duh X3

well its cause they feel ALL the time is wasted on the pic they poured
hours an effort into. Only to upon completion not get paid... so i mean
i see both ends of the spectrum, just more ppl are willing to pay up
front because they ARENT artistic.. an cant achieve what they want
on their own skill so theyll pay another to do it

I see, well even when I'm commissioned *if I ever was :(* My policy would be pay once I finish then after it's paid for it's uploaded. Time and coordination in a picture is another story for me because if I'm drawing something for you and I've done my part like in an art trade and you don't do yours then the pic just doesn't get posted. That's how I see it should be but your right not everyone is the same

not ever artist, or commissioner keeps their word either.
fully paid, half paid, paid in payments or paid after arts
completed... its all an honor system.

So true... besides it all comes back tgo them later on so theres no point in ling to someone about pay, ment or if you owe them art. If you know something is due and they deni it then it's not your loss it's their because Karma... well let's just say she has a funny way of working <3
