Finally Got an Account

And, I'm not really liking it. It has a great use of javascript and CSS to make that extra push with the artistic side of it, but it seems really disorganized and everything is kind of everywhere. The customization is about on par with FurAffinity, but not so on par with websites like deviantART or Photobucket. I know it's a new site, so things are bound to come, but so far it's just not a layout that's screaming at me. It seems like there are restrictions at every turn, despite the policy of, "It's not everyone else's responsibility to hide what you don't want to see." I don't like the "furry only" standpoint. If you don't want to see human art/writing, then don't look at it or read it. It seems too ready to make up for the mistakes that other websites are making, whereas, because of that, it lacks in originality. It's colors aren't easy on the eyes, it's layout it all over the place, and the policy is a bit slanted.

I made an account here, and I'm glad I did, but I don't think this website is about to beat out any of the other websites by a long shot.

You might like it better with the grey background - I certainly find it easier on the eyes.

As for "furry only", that's more of a legal issue. Money + sex + humans == stress, especially internationally! :-p

The site won't be to the taste of everyone, but if you're just not feeling it right now, perhaps come back again in six months and see if you like it better.

I'll have to try out the grey background, thanks for the tip! :D Although I was thinking about just adding my own background with Stylish. >.>

And I think FA handled the legal issue of human art best. If it's human, no violence/minor sex art. I mean, I can understand no human for legal issues very well, it's a lot easier to manage, but it's such a hefty restriction that it still kind of rubs me the wrong way. I understand it and can rationalize the decision, but I still don't *like* it. Stupid lawmakers ruin expression. >8C

The site rubs me the wrong way with several things, but I think I'll stick around. I can't really post anything since I do all human writing, and I could technically post the commissions that I post to my FA. I dunno, I'll have to see. I really like the fluidity of the javascript though, really top notch compared to deviantART. >3>
