Am I the only one noticing this? (Gun Control?)

Some might say this is too soon, but whatever.

Are we going to have a debate about Bomb Control now? Or, is everybody okay with the idea that people kill people with bombs like they are with Light Sabers, Cars, Poisons, Missiles, Gas, Injections, Germ Warfare, Stabbings, Beatings, etc.

Sooooooo does this mean we're going to have start regulating manure?

*mummbles* Just like seeing consistency in peoples positions about things...

Canada has had gun control for awhile now. it's not like you can just walk to a gun store in canada and get one on the spot. Its about time the U.S follow Canada policy on this considering with recent gun shooting in the states that might of been prevented if such actions have been taken before hand.

Incorrect. For further reading made easy:   https://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=78100

That said, there is forms of gun control in the U.S. anyway, as your example of not being able to just walk into a gun store and buying a gun is true out here as well. Especially in my state. ^_^

I do need to emphasize that what you are talking about actually doesn't effect the problems we've been having over here with these people shooting up places anyway. All those guns were purchased with background checks.      Do keep in mind, I actually don't like guns so you can't assume that is why I make the arguments I do. I've simply done my homework.

Doing the waterpark security thing these days I keep this stuff quite heavy on my mind somedays with around 5,000 to 7,000 people expected per day on Saturday this summer. Especially now that we are going to have the worlds tallest and fastest waterslide very very soon. Pretty darned big target if you ask me. But it's stupid to think regulating a certain type of firearm would solve any problems. Even if the recent one passed, criminals could still grab up a few 9mm handguns and still have the same amount of ammo as an assault rifle. And its quicker to change out a pistol than to change ammo in a rifle anyway.

Anyway for what it's worth I couldn't say anything that you haven't already. If someone want's to kill people and lots of them guns aren't the only method and I don't think people on Obama's side are really smart enough to understand it.

If memory serves, something like  2.55% of gun deaths (justified, not justified, and suicide combined by everyone including military, police, civilians etc. reaches that percent)  are done with Rifles. (this includes all rifles, not just the AR 15 sports rifle they have been focusing on)

The biggest school massacre in history (if you include Australia, Asia, Europe, North and South America)  done by one person didn't even involve a gun.

Hand guns account for about 47.32% of deaths in the U.S. by guns.  Per year, hands and feet account for about 801 or 5.87%

We need to ban Limbs!

We should also ban rocks, building materials like bricks, phone cords and elastic underwear bands. Pillows are another weapon that must be eliminated and sexually overactive hepatitis patients. I can keep going if I don't sound like Bloomberg yet. ;P
