The last one on your list pretty much guarantees your computer to go kaput.  My last laptop had a very similar problem and it was that thing disconnecting from the motherboard.  The cost to fix that is about the same as a low end computer....  I would say do a million more commissions to save up for a new computer...but...it would be kind of hard to do with your current one.  Also, the chord problem could be part of the cause for some of the other problems.

Depending on your settings, when your laptop isn't plugged in, it will purposely do everything slower to save energy.  And since you are running more advanced programs...well...it can't handle that.  Check your settings and make sure battery versus plug in are the same.  To make sure you can see if it is plugged in or not, make the screen brightness settings very different, so you know exactly when you need to check your chord.  Also, I advise turning off a lot of start-up programs.  Personal messengers, etc.

I don't know what to do about the virus scares since I never had that problem, but here are some ideas.
1.  Update your antivirus then scan your entire computer
2.  Limit the sites you go on, only go to places that you know don't pelt you with ads
3.  Take off any extra toolbars on your browser.  These make a lot of cookies and you probably don't use them.
4.  Also try to avoid sites that require a lot of RAM (video, games, etc.)
5.  Be diligent and patient

Hopefully this will all allow you to continue drawing long enough so you can purchase a new computer.

i think i've confused you a bit. i don't mean all of that's happened at once, i just mean it's happened before and doing a million commissions is easier said than done. i got to appeal to people first and i don't think i'm doing a really good job of it

Oh, I know this stuff hasn't been happening all at once, I just wanted to address every issue that I can.  Have you thought of putting yourself out there on other sites so you can find a wider audience?  I don't know if you have a dA account or anything like that, but it couldn't hurt.

Appealing to others...that is something hard to do.  I mean, it is one thing to attract people on inkbunny because it has a very select audience, while something like dA is very widespread.  Here's an idea for you:  write.  I don't know how fast you are at typing, but you can at least write everything done in a notebook and type it all up later.  Some people are only looking for writing, I know I was at one point.  Also, it would help bring a wider audience.  Besides, I know everyone gets tired of one thing for too long.

Other than that, I really don't know what to tell you.  I write myself and draw very little, but I can't seem to be noticed by more than twenty people.  Maybe you'll have a birthday soon?

lol i have a DA (almost anything here isn't even mentioned there XD) and i don't really get much luck there. and i write, people tend to like my stories. i'm ruru-neko-chan on fanfiction if you ever feel like checking it out. i wouldn't know how much to charge for that if i did decide to do writing commissions???

I was thinking of the writing more for the attention...and try to link your accounts together!  Oh, and put like a warning about content and all that jazz, you don't want to alienate anyone.  ...Writing commissions...I suggest asking everyone if they are interested and how much they will pay for it.  You never know.  Though I would just stick with writing what comes to you, not what other people ask for.  You will often end up at a road block and write something horrible.  At least with drawing you can say, who, what, clothes, activity, pose, location, color.

If you think you can do writing commissions, I suggest asking someone to be as vague as possible so you can just let it flow.  Just ask who the characters are, story type (drama, romance, etc.), max rating, location, and odd quirks(such as fighting robots, mermaids, etc.).  You'll see what I mean when you get a writing request/commission.  Also, give a general outline to your requester to see if the things you had in mind are okay (like sex scenes, roles of the characters, very basic events without giving spoilers).

Remember to post this on ALL accounts.  DA, fanfiction.net, and inkbunny all allow you to post written works.  And before you write a journal about it, give an example one-shot you could do(if you don't already have one!), that way everyone knows what to expect.

One more thing...why in the world haven't more people replied to this!  I would commission you just to do another page of your current comic, I enjoy it that much.  I'm just ridiculously poor at the moment due to a recent knee injury.

Oh, and if worst comes to worst...get a job.  It may suck, but at least you have a consistent paycheck.

ah, sorry about the comic shortage....the idea is in my head but i haven't drawn it out yet, i should really work on that soon (feeling guiltier about it cause i've been meaning to anyway) and i don't really link accounts because i haven't really told people i talk to that i do this sort of thing and a couple of people i closely talk to don't really like "yaoi" or poke fun at it....plus it's "out of character" for most people who know me irl. also, i've been afraid of like doing a wall of text because most people don't have the patience to read through it so i tried to make things as simple as possible.

Hmm...have you thought of making multiple accounts?  You can have a second account on dA and don't tell anyone on your original account for it.  Post the pictures and fictions that you allowed to on dA and submit them to multiple groups.  Hopefully it'll attract an audience quickly.  Even post a few select pages from your comic that are "safe" and leave links to the gallery on inkbunny. Don't forget about the fanfictions either.  Remember to leave some of your fanfictions there too.  Also, take note to tell people on your inkbunny and fanfiction accounts that you are making a new page so no one assumes your art was stolen and report you.

It is okay about the comic shortage, it is worth waiting for.  There are only a million other things I need to keep up with anyway.

What do you mean about a wall of text?  Are you referring to your writing, a comic, or a journal you were planning to make or something?

wall of text like if you explain things too much? i've seen those quite the few times from some people offering comms but it hasn't been all that bad recently.

lol about multiple accounts, i haven't really. this is the only site i've done that on (my first page here is completely empty) i could try that out sometime. lol as for the comic, when i get finished coloring my current commission i'm gonna sketch multiple pages so i have no reason not to finish them XD

Hmm...paragraphing with proper headings for each section could help with the wall of text, so whatever someone wants they can just quickly go for what they are looking for.  Or you can do the classic "Message me if interested and we can discuss details from there."  If that is the case, just post that you can do both drawings and maybe even fanfictions.  Hey, if you get really desperate, try adoptables!  I personally think they are idiotic, but some people like them.  Oh well.

Try the multiple account thing it will help you keep yourself in secrecy...maybe even have a fake name for it!  Again, that is something you have to decide.  And I can't wait for your comic!
