SEGA Announces Sonic 1 Remastered!

Taxman (The guy behind Sonic CD 2011 remake) is at it again, SEGA have announced a remake of Sonic 1 for iOS and Android, what about XBLA and PSN?

The remastered version is said to have widescreen support, Time Attack mode, and a remastered soundtrack (I hope it's not like the "remixes" we got with Sonic Genesis on GBA) but this is still good news!

SEGA also mentioned they have plans for a remastered version of Sonic 2 but still no news of it (I bet Hidden Palace will be remade) maybe someday we'll get them on XBLA and PSN?

As for my mood, I'm still having a really shitty time, not gonna go into details but things are getting worse in life, work, and internet contacts too :(

I still wanna support Taxman hoping someday we'll either get Sonic 3 and Knuckles remastered or a brand new 2D Sonic game using his engine!

I heard you're a member of T.A. now, never thought you'd accept to join to be honest, that's good though, I wish you the best of luck!

WUT? XD

I was saying that I don't like Taxman.

He picked a perfect good, free engine that would help to make awesome fan games and sold it to Sega. I like Sonic CD, but I don't think the attitude was right.

I don't see what's wrong of him selling his great engine to SEGA? :o

It's because that engine he did was supposed to be open source and free for people to use. Now it's forever under Sega domain.

I don't remember him ever saying it was gonna be free, besides to be honest I rather SEGA use it (and they REALLY need it seeing how their physics are broken in new games) than keeping it for fans who never finish fan games or make new art and new ideas, I know many people who like fan games but I for myself prefer official games by SEGA, besides we already have a good engine for fans named "Sonic Worlds" http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_Worlds
