Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

*sigh*  Gawd did this game disappoint me.
Well let's go.
The game is incredibly easy. As long you can button mash you can play this game. The combat may look flashy but it has zero debt at Especially when you get the guard breaker. Talking bout weapons the extra weapons are useless and should be avoided at all costs. The sai has it's uses though. The blade mode is such a gimmicky thing if I've ever seen one. You can't cut everything. Some stuff you think you could cut you can't. You can only use it on enemies once you dealt enough damage to them. It's fun for first few times but damn does it get boring fast. Attack, blade mode, zandatsu and watch that same animation for so many times. I never thought I'd get sick of slicing stuff up.
The bosses are a joke. Attack, watch a "cool" animation and attack. One boss battle is just reusing two previous bosses again. The last boss is amazing and quit a different beast since he requires actual hit and run tactics. Still easy. And let's talk bout the worst offender. I beat the game in 2 and half hours. INCLUDING CUTSCENES! Wtf? How lazy are you? The music is great but it's only function is to pump you up and make the battles seem more hyper than they are. In the end I really can't recommend buying this game. A rental at best since it's so freaking short and easy.
If I had to score it it would be around 3/10. Not a bad game but so much wasted potential.

i must admit the game was short but not easy unless you play it on easy, in hard was a pain in the ass especially the last boss in my opinion is a great game too short and the boss battles are what mainly save the game really good boss battles or at least moonsoon and the last guy where cool.

i give it a 7/10 what difficulty you played and did you listen to all the conversations and vr missions

The pre last boss battles are horrible. Extremely predictable and pattern based. Now vr missions and conversations are an extra thing. That does not count in actual gameplay. That's side stufff. For completionists.

To be honest, I don't understand how anybody could be surprised the game blows. Hell Kojima mocked it himself, even he knew it would be awful.

As if the subtitle "Revengeance" wasn't a hint...

Revenge Vengeance.
I did not expect it to be great. But I didn't think it'd be this bad.

dude easy your masakeing this for idk DMC(the new one i hate that name) iv beaten the game and guess what it was far from easy i was screaming in rage the games more well cheep then anything eles. with the extra wepons ill say your right after i got the bow staef i didnt use anything eles unless a boss would die fast from it but say you can say the same for DMC3 with a few wepons in it but with this its more a matter of tast and play style. as for blade mode you dont have to use it you can play game game just useing basic moves and combos only useing it when you need health or ripper mode fule.and the bosses are grate i mean yeah the 1st 2 kinda suck and are piss easy but by the time you hit the 3ed you have hit a boss that can be a ture bitch.and the time of the game im with you on but i more blame platnum games for that cuse well they suck they ill end that there but hay im not trying to turn you into a fan just bringing up my points to defend a game i like

The new DMC is godlike compared to this. I actually managed to die in that game. Because the enemies are not such wusses.
DMC3 was extremely easy once you get beowulf. Just spam jump attack and get through the whole game no problems.
By 3rd boss I think you mean Sundowner. He is extremely easy. Attack, he'll block, blade mode the weak spot and DO NOT CUT OFF THE SHIELD ARMS, attack him a few times and he'll block again. Repeat till he dies. The last boss is great but not that hard. He is extremely pattern based. Basically a Megaman boss. Hey it's not my fault you suck at these kind of games and keep dieing. I barely got hit. The only enemy that kind be an ass is the Mastiff that's it.

2 it depends on the dificulty cuse i was haveing as easy a time i was geting my ass hand'ed to me and as for my skill no i beat bayyoneta on hard only useing the 1st hand guns you get so i can beat thes games i just found this one on the hard side

and 3 idk the last boss was more the powers of greed from FMA with the gient head off from the new DMC throw in

DMC is based on the whole dodge mechanic. You must not get hit. Any DMC pretty much. If you get hit by Mundus he'll remove around half of your energy. The game is based on you dodging stuff. And you can't just button mash through it. You have to dodge. If you get hit you need to heal. And healing items aren't cheap in DMC. While in MGR you don't really get much punishment at all for buttonmashing(especially with the guard breaker). Sure the later difficulties deal more damage but healing salvos are far and plenty. Also it's really easy to unlock the unlimited energy wig and just use "devil trigger" all the time. I didn't die at all during DMC nephilim run as well. But at least there I had to try. In MGR it was attack, blade mode, zandatsu, full health. And as for bosses as I said healing salvos. The last boss in MGR again is cool but is really easy. He is a Megaman boss. Once you learn his pattern he can't even touch you if you know what you are doing. And he is a DMC style boss which is all about patterns while others are about hitting them long enough till they die.

well, do you want a 10 hour game of slicing things up or a short one where it won't bored you that fast?

If the game is $60 it better be fucking longer than TWO HOURS!!

He gave it around 5-6 hours. But only coz of the extra stuff. The main game is around 2-3 hours.
If I skipped all the cutscenes I could beat it all missions in around an hour.

I got bored of slicing in 2 hours. So yeah it fails on both ways.

wait this is a metal gear game and it's ONLY that long!? I swear I played MGS1 one time took me like 20 hours, played again on extreme took like 30-40 hours. and MGS2? i put 100 hours into that game and STILL didn't find everything nor finish it on Extreme mode ever...
edit: Hell I think the NES Metal Gear takes like 10 hours to fully finish...
