Ever played an open-source fighting game called MUGEN? If so, then you are aware of the capability of creating and programming any fighter/stage/menu you want. You also can download the said contents for it. I use to program around with MUGEN as well as download anything I'm interested in. There's even a download for an entire MUGEN pack, which includes the characters. You may notice Street Fighters pack, to name one. There's one pack I come across, and it did help me answer about the mysterious catgirl character.
The MUGEN pack is called Nijiura Kakutoa (Nijikaku for short). Basically, it's a pack containing characters from the Nijiura series, a series from 2-Chan, dedicated to Japanese memes, parodies, and existing characters from anime or video games. It's pretty similar to that of 4-Chan. These characters include a pedophile named Ore, the OS girls, and that annoying girl whose name is the same as what she says a lot (Waha~). If you ever download the Nijikaku pack for MUGEN (search for it yourself), unzip it and browse to the character folder (Nijikaku >> chars), you will notice a folder called "gao". That's Gaoru! She plays the game as an assist fighter than she is a playable fighter.
Since May 15, 2005, she has been a part of the Nijiura family. Of course, only those who are Japanese or anyone close to the series may know her. It's not really obvious to figure it out, considering most of the artworks and manga of her doesn't include the characters from Nijikaka, but it does happen sometimes, like the appearance of Ore.
Since mostly Japanese people do care about Nijiura or Gaoru for that matter, there's a lot of artworks of her in Pixiv (I have an account there). So . . . why is it that I'm mentioning something pointless to Inkbunny? For a site containing a bunch of cub porn, which includes my favorite character, would it be thoughtful for at least some Gaoru artworks to be shown here? After all, she is a cute kitty who looks totally yifible.
Or I can make one myself. Still, it isn't like anyone is going to notice.
