Commissions? [Opinion needed/Discount]

by
So I'm finally doing art often enough/I'm happy enough with the quality of my art that I'd like to start taking commissions. I'd like to know some things, however. I'd be willing to offer a discount of $1 or 10% off of my eventual asking price, whichever is greater, for answering some questions. Even if you don't get one soon, you could use it later! O:

1.) How interested would you be in getting a commission from me?
2.) What would you pay for something like my recent submissions, if they were tidied up a bit more?
3.) Would you be more interested in buying art if:
     *I offered more detailed art (lineart, flats, cel shading, soft shading, painterly, etc.)?
     *I supplied the idea, ala "your character here" commissions?
     *The art included one of my characters?
4.) In your opinion, what is a reasonable turnaround for a commission? How long would you be willing to wait for a piece of art before you start getting annoyed?
5.) Would you be more likely to buy art if the turnaround was shorter?

Ask your friends to give me their opinions too, so they can get a one time discount in the future. :D

1: Quite interested, assuming I have a commission budget. :P
2: 30ish
3: Not necessarily.
4: Personally, I wouldn't really care how long it took, so long as the artist doesn't go completely in the dark. I'd expect at least one point of contact a week, even if it is just a minor status update.
5: Not likely, no, as it's of little concern to me. :P

I might be interested in maybe getting an update to the ones you did for me a while back. :3

You've improved a great deal since then and I think an update might be nice.  ^^

I would be interested in an commission from you, something detailed and with color, not sure what I would pay though. As for the time, I'm okay with any period. In fact, I have two commissions I've been waiting for for over six months with little or no progress. o.o

Thanks for the comment!

Six months?! I don't think I'd take nearly that long. >w<

1) I'd love to get a commission from you, but (as you know) I'm bankrupt.
2) Not sure, honestly. I leave the pricing up to the artists.
3) Well if it's a commission, i'd probably want whatever characters I wanted in it, in the positions I wanted as well.
4) 1 week... not that I can talk. >_<;
5) Not really, just as long as I get it in a month or less really. I figure everyone has something going on in their lives so I try to be understanding on turnaround times.

Hope that helped. x.x;

1) Fairly intrigued :3
2) $20 line art, $30 flat-colored, $35 possibly $40 for the works. The cost of extra characters is what I look for the most. In most cases that seems to jack the price up alot... =/
3) Detailed artwork is always a plus, idea or pic auctions I wouldn't do, love pics involving the artists characters aswell.
4) Exactly what Adilor said; at the very least an update or some sort of contact once a week. If I'm waiting a month or dealing with an artist who can't be bothered talking with their commissioners then I'm gonna just look for someone else or ask for a refund (if I paid them already). Also, always have an updated commissions list. I can't see someone as reliable if they don't. >.>
5) Yes, always. The quicker the better in my opinion and if someone has a good mix of skill and consistency then I'm likely to commission from them again when I can.
