So, so many people are predicting the (End Of Days) to be between now and December 21st, 2012. *Fact* There's many predictions of technological advances, which takes place between now and 2099. *Fact* Anak Krakatoa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anak_Krakatoa) Will blow up, between now and 2030. The question is, when? *Fact* If the rapture does happen between the possible dates, the world will still be here. Pretty much, anyone still here, will be the new founders of our future. If this happens, then I actually have (High hopes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i8264L8-N4 ) that us, anyone left, will make it a good future. Not only good, but great. We have learned quite a lot, and our morals are tight, the one's here anyways. I don't believe I'll be a part of the rapture, if this does occur in the next few years. Actually, I am more excited then anything. Even if I end up among the dead. I guess what really excites me the most, whether the biblical prophecies are correct or not, is the fact, we're almost outa biblical calendar. Probably what some Christians will do, if it doesn't end up happening, is find a way, that the bible predicts it's coming, in some sort of second calendar cycle. In a way though, I hope it is in the next couple of years, so that all these Christians can get everything they are hoping for. But. Something at the back of my head, is telling me, many who believe they are good Christians, will end up among the (Left Behind.) The *Real* truth of the matter is, is that it's completely unclear, as to why, god chooses who he chooses. There's people in heaven, that few people here on earth, would even think ever made it there. Does this mean, change your way of living? No. I believe, in my own opinion, God chooses those who are pure inside and out, (Honest). Doesn't matter, race, color, sexual preference (If it's the only way to truly be honest) Pure of heart, doesn't mean kill yourself, keeping all of God's commandments. And if I'm correct about that, many people better learn it fast. By my opinion, god doesn't forgive you, just by leading a straight life, if you are actually Homosexual inside. I guess in the next few months, we will find a lot of this out. If the rapture is this year, fine. If it's not, fine. The only thing which is for sure, is that the Biblical Calendar ends!
I believe many will survive it. But the one's who are left, will be the one's to rebuild. But maybe this time around, we might just be a little smarter about certain things. Besides that, we will have a lot of the technology we have now, left over. So we won't be rebuilding with nothing. And just maybe, we might figure out how to get by, without using money. One of the most important messages to spread, if it does happen in the next couple of years, we recover, just because we are humans. Then work together, and help give each other our needs, just because we wanna survive. The era of the beginning of Star Trek times may be upon us. So now we figure out how to do things, without money. That's what we'll need to do.

Krakatau erupted back in 1883 before. All that happened was "a blue moon". Since 1994, Anak Krakatau had been in a new eruptive activity, until in April 2008 it erupted again, only requiring a 3 km safety zone for boats and fishermen.
What Biblical calendar are you talking about? The ones I know only contain saint's days and maybe some farming tips based upon seasons. And the Maya calendar doesn't end in 2012, it's just the beginning of a new cycle comparable in magnitude to the Western Platonic year cycle of about 15,000 years each.
There's more dangerous things out there than Krakatau. Such as biological weapons getting out of hand (12 Monkeys, anyone?), nuclear disasters (heard of the recent nuclear plant incidents in Japan?), global warming, or meteors.

Ahm. According to NOAA, next year will probably be even colder, as south arctic air comes northward faster, it's pushing atmospheric particles down. it is causing more freezing then normal, in the north pole during it's winter, then normal.
The problem with Meteors, is space is billions, or trillions of miles across, so predicting that, is next to impossible. Trillions? Hell, we haven't an idea, just how large space is. Some of the worse imaginable disasters, will come from earth. Last time Krakatoa went, it caused acid rain, three times worse then what we caused. If not even worse. It was that bad, you couldn't go out in it. The stuff was that strong, it would burn your skin. This time, is predicted three times worse. Honestly, it's the only thing that truly scares me right now, because it's certain, it will eventually happen.
