They say you must lose something to gain something, a perfect example is shown in Fullmetal Alchemist, but in the real world, we don't get instant results. Last year, I had to put down my dog since she was very sick. Soon after, we got a puppy to fill the hole, but she can never truly replace her.
Today, the best dog I ever had died of a stroke, he was 10 years old. I was with him when it started, and when he passed, and I will be burying him soon. He was an incredible dog, and I can't bear to see him go, but such is the world we live in.
Back to the original topic of equivalent exchange, I don't want anything for his death, I just want him to meet my other dog in Heaven and be at peace.
