To start off backwards, I'm now using IMO. Mass messenger that connects MSN, Facebook, Aim, Yahoo, and Skype. I'll be signed in and leaving it on my tablet, so you will always have an open channel to me. It even saves and sends offline messages, in case I'm out of signal.
Now, I still have to drive hours each day, but I'll be replying. Even chatting if I have free time.
New Year's Resolution = To dedicate at least 1 hour a day to either:
A. Artwork. Sketching, coloring, owed commissions or requests.
B. Gaming, as in my personal designing. Rules, designs, and testing. (More at bottom)
C. Working out. Gotta stay in/get in shape. No trucker belly! No trucker belly!
D. Working on content for Capes & Cartridges. A podcast/website my friends are doing and invited me to be a part of. (More at bottom)
So that is my resolution. I am going to try hard. I know I ask you all this constantly, but always remind me of promised works, commissions, ideas, etc. I know some would say I should have this all down, but I never claimed to be a professional commissioned artist. I go by passion and motivation. I have a lot of distractions and a poor memory. Help me or get out, cause this is me.
Games Designing: I can't recall how much I've said or where all, but I have 5 card games, 6 board games, and a handful of D&D campaign/scenarios I am messing with. So if you wonder what is he doing, there is a good chance that is the main focus. 2 games are just about done with rules and function/mechanics. Design and proto type are next. Then game testing. Maybe I will do print and play for feedback with beta versions of the two if enough people are interested.
Capes & Cartridges: A site dedicated to the nerdy antics of my friends and I.
1) My "Trucking_Nerd" twitter, they also want it to be a podcast. So you can hear just how crazy drivers make me besides reading it via 140 characters or less.
2) There is also 2 other areas they spoke of with me. One called "Last Minute Cosplays" as every costume I've ever made for ACen or elsewhere has always been a week or less before the day. 2 finished the day of. So, this intrigued my buddies to see if either I can do it every so often, or maybe insight and advice on costumes? Not sure what they want to do with it.
3) The final piece is game play and reviews of used, old, or incomplete games (traditional - board, card, etc) which we play, but then part 2 is me either adding to the game (homemade expansion); Correcting game play (modifying rules that don't make sense or break the game); or the funnest and most exciting, making an entire new game out of an incomplete or crap game using its pieces and only bits that can be found in a generic game set at Walmart (chips, checkers, d6s, marbles, etc). So that is the fun you could see in the future. The plan is February or march to open the site. Content updates are unknown until we get it all planned out. Hopefully weekly.
I'll keep you all posted. I'll be fixing up my galleries and posting EVERYTHING I've ever done or been a part of come my next home time. Take care. :3
