it doesn't have to be the last just always keep your expectations on things low lol. that way you will always know if it will be delayed. there is always more things to do while waiting. i mean look at duke nukem forever. that game nearly took forever but people still waited for it patiently and still expected it to be made but XD it took a long time before even the next game came out lol. 0-o though im am waiting on the next fallout game XD 3 was awesome 4 was ok. just wana see what the next game will hold ^^ but i still wait with low hopes of it being stalled lol.

im not saying dont expect them to be good. lol what im getting at is don't set your expectations to high on dates. as long as the game is good in the beginning and your giving them enough time to complete it. then the end result will be an even better game. we are humans after all. prone to mistakes, delays and short time. always look forward to a better game. just let it take its time. if its rushed then you wont see a true end result. you will only see half of a game that you feel was put together by idiots XD

0-o a game is never truly done. ^^ you have all the addons and bug fixes that still plague it lol to patches to make it better and give it different content. but through it all it still takes time to master a good game. to say the least a lot of games dont ever get finished like the devs would like them to be because of schedules and timing. its why a lot of good games are not so good when they could have been so much better. but i do understand there should be time to work on it and time to get personal things done. and i do agree that it should be done on a timely manner. ^^

The message was certainly needed. Releasing such a placeholder on a site like this gives impression that the project is hours to days away. Which does add difficulty for many to be patient, so it does warrant a message like this just so people don't feel like it was a tease.

That code will run forever. Setting values in the evaluation step of a for loop is bad practice, and so is setting a variable to a value that it is already initialized to, especially in a looped block.

1. Avian didn't make the deadline you fucking dipshit. That was Aval0n. Aval0n should have fucking considered that its the holidays and Avian would obviously be at least somewhat busy. Since everyone is this time of the year. Aval0n should have given Avian the files a week in advanced if he ACTUALY intended on releasing it in time for Christmas.

2. Aval0n isn't PAYING Avian cash to get it done. This is a hobby. This is two brothers with a hobby. This is not a job. Do some research, dipshit.

Okay, everyone who is complaining about how long this is taking, shut the hell up. They are doing this for free, they have made no promises, and even if they had I refer to my first point as a reason why they wouldn't be obligated to keep them. I've been following this game ever since I found it probably close to two years ago now. It will be worth it when it gets here and until then we will have to wait. The more we bug them about it the more annoyed the people working on this will get. I want them to release the best game they can. If that means I have to wait a few extra weeks or even months I can wait. This is their hobby, not their job. You did great so far, but I think you should give us some more update, as you said, 'soon', it has no date to be released yet, I get it, but it has been one week already, post some update, let us know if you worked on the project or did nothing at all.

Then keep your entitled attitude to yourself. You don't DESERVE anything. They didn't agree to some 'code of conduct' for making ero games for you. If you're holding your breath with anticipation, then that's your problem. Just be grateful that the game is even good enough to give you that kind of excitement.

Avalon already suggested that we only check in once a week or so. I'm pretty sure that made the timeframe for this project clear. If you can't handle the pressure, I suggest you 'x' out of all tabs involving this and stay away for awhile.

Or at least tell Aval0nX his PARTNER in this game, about a little progress?

We (or some) are NOT DEMANDING the game to come right out now, we get over that!
OK! We GET IT!
It will take maybe weeks, months we are OK with that! We accept that.
But atleast typing, once a while a short text awhile about a PROGRESS (just so you get it) PROGRESS. Would be nice.

They (or more) Aval0nX created that anticipation with his placeholder pic and his livestream and new pics.
Why do you THINK of the SUDDEN rise of "anticipation" ?

No teasing - no anticipation. Aval0nX "teased us" (did his share of work) and that created anticipation.

GET IT RIGHT. (not "screaming" just make it CLEAR, so YOU GET IT)

Perhaps he didn't know how fast Avian was, that's a mistake, not a crime. If you are serious about believing they have an obligation to tell us how their hobby is going, then you have something seriously wrong with you. Just because something is shared for you doesn't mean it was made for you.

None of what you just stated justifies you harassing him though. Nor does it give a reason he is obligated to do shit for you. Not to mention the fact that you frequently resort to name calling for lack of a better argument. (Seriously you guys. His post had ONE SENTENCE of actual debate. And If you (maybe or maybe not) saw my first posts on this issue I said (Copy past here bits)

To the "obligated within the year", well to be blunt (ignore the whole "Yeah?! How do you know?, and Well do it your self then!") it's not that hard. Even if he just work on it only 10 seconds a day. ( "Yeah?! How do you know?" "If you know so much about it well do it your self then!" pre-writing it for you :) )

The core of this flash game is a simple structre. Meaning: Text popup decisions + Multiple Choice + stat Points = appropriate picture.
It's not complex like some flash games, you find on newgrounds or kongregate or miniclip.

To your "why does he need to even let you know he still exists?" Well you see what IS happening right now.

Let us "assume" Avian has no interest to work on this game anymore. (no time, family, job, or whatever you name it)
At least pass on your "base frame work" Sourcecode to AvalonX, so he can work and finish it, or partner with someone else.

Maybe just maybe He is forgetful and is working on it, but in his haste he forget to write a line on his journal. He did on the 26th dec. He was in the chat from AvalonXs live stream, and said (memory paraphrasing here) "Ups! Oh yeah I gotta go write a journal about the current situation (family xmas etc.)"

I don't see how it being easy means he has to do it. I mean, I fail to see the connection. Someone can also make a bomb vest over time with that same amount of effort you implied. Are you saying that everyone also should be making a bomb vest to go terrorist, because they can with a few seconds of effort every day? Its a ridiculous example, but basically that's the type of reasoning you were implying.

You argue without evidence and insult people who are trying to be civil defending someone who has basically disappeared the moment work was dropped on him. Hobby or not Avian's lack of communication and extremes of not even hinting at who he is in any way (we barely even know what delays him) under the terms of anonymity (which I entirely understand) allow him to literally abandon the project and leave Aval0n (and us) with nothing but the year old release and an art gallery.

It is the internet and people do these things very often. Being worried and wanting updates of progress is not DEMANDING, but wanting assurance that it is actually being completed.

I do not use this game as a major source for porn, we have the whole internet, I played an early beta and enjoyed, get this, the writing and gameplay! In my honest opinion the last release was one of the best (free) games that is available online. I care more about seeing it finished than jerking off to pictures of Cream. There are plenty of pictures out there, the game would be more effort than I would want to jerk off. (effort better spent on my girlfriend if I want sexual pleasure)

Look: He and avalonX (and some ppl else) started this project or hobby since the beta alpha.
Every alpha and beta version got his name on it. So there is the why he "has" to do it.

He has a commitment to do the other half of the "job".
And if he doesn't want to do it anymore, pass it on to AvalonX to let him "finish the job".
That's all that I'm saying.

Okay, so lets get this straight, now that you've finally answered my question.
1: It has his name on it.
2: He has an obligation to finish the 'Job' that he started.
3: OR, at least pass it on to AvalonX to finish.

Excluding outside circumstances, I agree with the third part. I mean, I can imagine plenty of reasons why he wouldn't have the chance to even do that(not everyone has all the free time). Or even why he may not even see whats going on here as an issue. Buuut.... yeah. I think it would be wise for the game file to be spread among all the people working on the project for cases like this in the first place. That way no one can just go missing and halt production.

I think I'm done arguing with someone who constantly goes off on tangents and insults me.(earlier when I was talking about insults, I was talking about personal ones.) I still personally disagree with the whole 'he made it so he has to finish it!' line of reasoning, because in my opinion its his project to do what the fuck he wants with it. If a group of fans really wants to, there are ways to continue it without him(Flash ripping programs and the like), or even make a homage game to it(which I would LOVE to see).

So I'm done. If you guys want to piss and moan and be immature on these guys journals instead of waiting like a mature adult, that's fine. I won't interrupt you anymore.

To anyone who for some reason reads this first, don't read back. I'd love to say that I at least argued politely and maturely, but tbh I've been sick this entire time and I doubt I did that much better than okertaker. Sorry to anyone who had the bad luck to read through all of this. Blahhhhh.

My whole intention from the beginning wasn't to insult you or the defending fanbase.
(And you started it first, with the "fuckheads" insult, maybe I was taking it to "personal" but whatever *ignoring that*) :)

I was just trying to say that, both sides (demanders and defenders) are right and wrong on this issue.

At least we got a reasonable disscusion, where we both can say "we got a bit more smarter".
