I'd like to think that it would signal the final downfall of the NRA as a political power. I don't think anyone is trying to use this event as a means to cement their political power; all I've seen is a huge rally against the NRA and those various governors who want to let the gun laws become even more lax. It's terrible that this issue has such political ramifications; it would be more terrible if we didn't stand up against those who want to make guns as easy to buy as chewing gum.
