bigot in the household

A few days ago my mom, dad, and were sitting in the living room, when out of the blue dad asked me a question that really pissed both my mom and i off.  his question to me was "do you know the precentage of gays who are athiests?"  as soon as he asked this, mom and i looked at him in disgust. i told him that most of the gays i know are christian, with one of them even being a catholic. that is when he replied back with "well how do you know if he isnt just pretending to be catholic?"

i hate to see it folks, but my dad is a real bigot.  even though he says he loves me and such, he hates my "choice in lifestyle", and has even said a few times that the gay community is what is making tge economy so bad.  like us gays are just spending all the country's money away or some shit.  hell he has even told me to my face that gays shouldn't be given the right to legally marry because it would then take away the rights and privliges that straight married people have; and that it would open the door for zoophiles wanting to marry animals or some other bullshit.

*sigh* have any of you out there had to deal with the same crap from a member of your family?

I'm living at a clean & sober house ran by Christians and I was invited to "an unconventional bible study" by one of the guys who run the place. I figured it couldn't hurt to meet some new people so I went. Everything was all right until the dude who runs the place John started talking about the state of the country and how evil seems to be taking over. I mentioned how it was crazy that we have had all these school shootings and then he says "even gays are getting the right to marry."
That really offended me. Hell the guy who is in charge of the house I am at is bisexual. I couldn't believe he said that.

I bet his fellow Christian friends don't know he's bisexual. (and I also bet he's in the closet too)  Hell some Christians will take anything that is currently happening in the world that isn't "normal" as a mark of satan's handiwork.  Heck back when black people got full civil rights in the 1960s, some Christian groups began picketing that Satan sat in the oval office and that the end times were upon us.  I really hope that we will finally get the full right to marry in any state soon.

If that guy brings up the gay marriage issue and talks how its a sign that evil has taken over, tell him you find it offensive.  If he keeps it up, out him to his buddies.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one in the room who got offended by what he said. For like five minutes afterwards we had an uncomfortable silence then the subject changed. I told the guy who is bisexual (Kevin) what John had said and Kevin was like "Oh hell no. John's the biggest faggot I know." I'm not sure what he meant by that (John is married) but I asked him how he got the job of overseeing the house when John clearly doesn't like homosexuals. Kevin said he lied to John and claimed he only did things like that when he was on drugs. Personalty I wouldn't work for a bigot but whatever.

You're not only one who have a parent or two who happens to be a bigot. My parents are RELIGIOUSLY Christian and hates gay. Good thing I NEVER told them that I'm gay
