if that is the case, then make it clear, otherwise, the wrong admin with be going on a deletion spree worse than than the one when they banned cub porn and had members delete their own art submissions.

As I said over on Sofurry.
Furaffinity's been coughing up blood for years, with the trolls, poor staff, lack of maintenance/progress and Neer's attitude/poor leadership its a miracle the site is still there.
With pointless changes like this he's risking FA geting hacked again, just like it got hacked when he banned cub.

In Neer's position and FA in its current condition, Sofurry running at near 100% and new sites like Weasyl popping up he really can't play silly b*stards like he has in the past.
The so called abuse he took off the staff at furfright (If that really happened) is proof that Neer is living on borrowed time and people are seeing through his bull sh*t.

Well, I was thinking "typo" or "mistake", but NVFM. >.>
But honestly, they can't be accused of "nazism", and that's not a word one should throw around like that.
Anybody here tried talking with the admins about this? It could potentially clear a lot of things up.

Umm, people on FA have always edited the cartoon characters they use to make them of age, ever since the "cub" ban, I doubt anything's gonna change.

EVEN THEN, I doubt it means chronological years. Local biological years makes a whole bunch more sense and could shut up everyone here. :D

In a few days they will probably change the aup again without a notice and remove the feral stuff. it's what they did about the cub stuff in the last aup update.

That's it, I was trying to be nice, I was trying to be tollerant. But now FA has even made this Brony give up on them in sheer frustration, and that is a feat in itself. Now, I could see the Cub Nam IF it was due to their server providers not wanting it, I could forgive them breaking the law by not telling us about the tracking cookies, and I could stretch my patience and acceptance to the Sonic Porn Ban because Mobius Unleashed is zealous about their art (Which is their right) and wanted no chance at all for Mobius art to hit the site (true that's like treating Poison Ivy with amputation, but we've never given FA credit for being the sharpest knives in the drawer). But THIS, I mean REALLY THIS!?!? щ(ಠ益ಠщ)

If that's the case then have this FA (Which from this point on should mean Fail Assured) 凸(⊙▂⊙✖ )

Now to write the journal that will get me permabanned there, Mwhahahaha ψ(｀∇´)ψ

Holy shit!  Seriously?  Ferals now?

How the fuck does that make any lick of sense?  Cubs is one thing.  Cartoons, fine.  "Under-aged" Humanoid characters, okie-dokie-lokie.  But Ferals?!  If they are cubs to begin with, then that's a no-brainer.  But if it's true about all ferals, then FA is going to shatter in seconds.

Come to think of it, My Little Pony are considered feral too.  They do walk on four hooves and all...I bet that's why the AUP is up!  Fuckin haters.  One banner is all it took for this to happen.  LOL

well actually horses live to be 30...so they could potentially be overaged, and celestia is +1000 so they actually are exempt....but it drives a stake through fan art....no simba, no balto, and then it gets tricky.....if it walks on 2 legs part of the time, then which is it, a furry or feral (Alex from Madagascar or Tom and Jerry or Brian from Family guy for example, we know brian doesnt live to be over 15)

MLP. Lauren Faust has said that they're not adults, although has been vague about the exact ages. The fact that she said that they're not adults pretty explicitly indicates they're not 18 though.

well of course logic doesn't matter....but really after this new rule, the only adult art that will pretty much be left will be original over 18 characters and bipedal fan art (which could be next as they copyright infringement) maybe theyre slowly weening FA off adult art

Don't forget their marvellous hypocrisy powers.  With all their other rulings, they have applied the rules selectively.

For example during the great purge of rubbersuits that saw a diaspora of rubberfurs to Fetlife, some remained welcome on FA...mainly because they didn't cause drama or they got on well with certain admins.  The rules for adult suits stem from the different set of rules for pornography (photos and vids) than adult artwork (drawings and flash) but beyond the TOS it's all administrator's discretion.

Similarly they said they would not allow any sexual cub art but it's still prevalent there.

And how do you draw age?  Would an obviously mature critter be "over the equivalent age of 18" or "under the chronological age of 18"?

What about the pic' of my mate (a rat) and I as ferals?  Would that mean we're underage in that picture despite clearly still being 'us' just as ferals?  Or would the "they are adult furries with adult characters" aspect carry through and make that picture okay?

The golden rule of FA is that it's admin's choice.  And from the rubberfurs purge, we know the more drama the more administrator attention.

well in their glorious new age of caring about the rules and codes of conducts for the admins.... I complained about Summercat permabanning me from the FA forumds for daring to ask why dragoneer reversed himself on the sonic issue when he said the under 18 would not apply to anthros, I specifically mentioned the rule could apply to sonic and ferals, 2 yrs ago

a week later sonic was banned....so summercat banned me for asking this for the second time on forums, they closed the first thread no answer because she didnt like the TONE of my post, it violates no rules, but she did it anyway

this is a clear violation of their rules, when supposedly they have to consult for a ban, and you have to have pts etc etc, I had no pts that I knew of, was never banned from the forums before, as I hardly even go there, except when board is down, or new AUPs are discussed.

Their ruling on her action? admins have the discretion to literally do what they want if they feel its necessary to prevent disruption, so rules? we dont need rules, we can ban you if you feel you disrupt things, which basically means if they feel like it.

Can you imagine if the US gov did that? we can declare martial law and take away your rights, cuz you said something uh huh that's FA for you

nah. I don't think it has to be interpreted that way. Granted I only read the actual AUP from the link at the bottom of the page, not any more detailed forum entries that they spiced with their admin's mental diarrhea.

in the actual AUP it says:

...
depicting of minors (humanoid or feral adolescents who act/behave like humans) in sexual situations

If I write a story of a hypothetical world with feral but sentient mice, with a lifespan of 3 years that mature with 2 and a half month, then a one year old adult mouse - however naive - would certainly not be considered minor.

Of course you could argue that FA's admins could argue differently, but then I would argue against that that FA's admins argue and act inconsistently, unpredictably, unfair and however they want ANYWAY - so that argument's void ;)

the thing is ....no one does art or stories about absolutely feral mice.  How would you even know how feral thinking mice behave....there's inevitably some anthropomorphism....what they are saying is any FURRY ferals, those that think like humans and usually can speak a human language are banned if a minor

the whole minor term is bad because THERE ARE NO MINOR FERALS...minor generally means beneath legal age....do we have laws for ferals?

see above post where the admin in charge of this admitted they make the language vague in their words to cover more situations that arise, but in actuality, only confuse users and do not give clear guides to what is allowed.  IE they are morons.

and why would puppies having sex be more acceptable to them if they did not speak a language?  does that make any sense at all?  Puppies fucking, ok, add word balloon?  bad...no sense at all

if they want to ban immature ferals, SAY SO,,,,no immature ferals....its far less words too

yeah, I think they confused themselves. A feral mouse thats 2 years old is of course mature in the biological sense. It's also feral, so any legal considerations of mature or not don't apply.

But if the mouse has human intellect, then some idiot might indeed have the idea to apply the term "legally mature" which implies a certain age (the exact age I think depends on the country and legal system - I don't know about the US, maybe it even depends on the state?) which of course rises some tricky questions - if you have a feral - or furry dog - would you count to 18 in dog years or human years?  ;)   the UAP as its printed makes no sense, but it could be interpreted in any way.

Long story short, it doesn't matter. You can always interprete it in your favor, and if an FA admin wants to fuck you, you are fucked anyway, because they do what the fuck they want with the old and the new AUP  ;)

just wait until they change the AUP again.

I have a story with a character that gets reborn - repeatedly - in the body of an infant feral - every time she dies - but with all the sentience and memory (and maturity) of hundreds of years alive. I would have no clue wether that char could have sex now or not on FA, but even bothering about this details is not worth my time.

As I said, if an admin wants to fuck me because of it, I'm fucked anyway  ;)
