I'm surprised

People watch me....

then never do anything else

no faves
no comments

empty icons are also a little annoying...

I'm amused people haven't left my watchlist (although I have no idea if they did or not and seriously, I wouldn't care)

If it helps, I bookmark your stuff with every intention of faving/commenting... but then I forget. xD

Sorry I don't post, comment or have an icon, can't afford art of my own and don't wanna rip an icon from someone else. I don't really fav things on IB, though I watch cause I like what's been posted is all.

Edit: Posting I just forget or get distracted easily.

Hmm...I know with me, I don't usually comment on images already posted before I watch someone.

I watched you for the TwoKinds art you posted, I really like them but since most of them are month or so old, I didn't comment.

I'm not really an artist, so I dunno what I can say other than I like your stuff. XP I could do that, if ya want, but it'd get tedious after a while. :-P

Well, I have commented on your stuff when I had something to say.  I know how it can be to do something creative and not get a response, so I do try to say something.  Sometimes though an image is something I like but I don't have a more articulate comment than 'I like it', and I'm just not comfortable saying something so pointlessly redundant.  I wouldn't fave something I didn't like, so if nothing specifically impressed me about the image, there's nothing really to say that wouldn't be forced.  Don't misunderstand - I do sometimes put considerable thought and effort into my comments, but that's when the picture has inspired such a reaction.  It's a given that not everything any artist does is going to hit all the right notes for me or any other fan.  Still, if there is anything I can say, I do try since it only makes sense to encourage artists who make the kind of art you like.

I sometimes post comments, and I just don't have an icon yet because I suck big time at drawing, and then I need to animate it. I just don't post comments much because it seems kinda shallow to only say that it was good.

Hi, I haven't actually been on IB long but I don't generally fave much here due to only watching a few artists. I pretty much see everything new posted and generally know who does what art if I want to re-find it. Also I'm lazy so have not added an icon. Apologies.

That seems to be a popular issue here. I'm on as many furry sites as I can handle so I find it difficult to decide how I should react and where. On one site I might say "aww cute!" 300 times but on another I might Fav one or two pics by the same artist and call it a day. Part of the reason I haven't done this here is because I already can't keep up with my watchlist. I know some Furs get a lot of spam on their profile about thanks for the fav or thanks for the watch but still. Do you know how it feels when your picture has over 200 views, no comments, and maybe one or two Favs? I agree with Arlie completely and I will try to comment more and encourage my favorite artist wherever they are. Thanks for the reminder! ^-^

Get use to it, noone has the time to comment on anything these days.

The luckiest you are going to get is a page-view, view or a favorite.

Comments are kind of redundant in my opinion... because in my efforts to become a better artist, I prefer to be my own critic because in the end it doesn't matter what the comments say but rather how you go about doing the art in the first place.
If you get a thousand comments saying "nice" it means someone wants attention, a comment like "I can't believe how awesome those thighs are, especially the coloring!" would be more on the verge of adoring your art than asking/demanding attention.

Yeah, its nice to get comments to stroke your ego or feel important... but let's be realistic here.
Noone cares anymore, as long as your art is good and pure awesome, take a look at the bigger artists... do you honestly see them whining and bit*ing about not getting comments?
Nope, they practice hard and just draw and rarely ever make comments themselves.

Just practice, become better and focus on making art than bit*ing about it... trust me I was in that same phase you were in long ago.
Its useless and it makes you seem like a troll in all honesty.

Where should that feedback come from? It may show appreciation if someone leaves a comment on your artwork but It also attracts a bit of attention to the person who commented. I don't know how many artist are ok with it but you could send a pm if you just want to encourage them. Often if you see a picture that reminds you of something or made you laugh you feel moved to say something.

Sometimes the person commenting may only want to demonstrate how many comments they can make in 30 sec. Comments are not only for the artist but they also allow other users to socialize and interact based on the topics your picture creates. It may be redundant but I still like to give the artist I like a piece of my mind. At the very least an artist may at least want to consider where the views are coming from and how many people actually liked it.

On the other hand that is a valid point about the bigger artist. What's your comment rank on IB Twilightwolf4?

To me I think it's simply because everyone is still posting everything at once.

Curse you FA transfer program! *shakes fists*

j/k  But yeah, with everyone flooding the submissions from FA to here for the past couple of months, it's difficult to find the time to look through them all and comment on the ones they want to comment on.  That's my side of it anyway =^_^;=
