Politics Update

by
I give up. I quit. I refuse to side with ANYONE. I damn sure refuse to side with "the lesser of two evils". (Something I DO stand for is integrity. Anyone with BALLS would write in a candidate they approve of if they dislike the ones backed by political parties.) Romney vs Obama is might as well be aspartame vs maltodextrin. I refuse to advocate either. I've had friendships torn asunder by political debate. I've heard more from both conservatives and liberals than I have enough data to argue effectively. I've heard DAMN good arguments against things I seriously thought I believed in. And it has reached a level I am not prepared to deal with. I'm a Canadian citizen in the US. I can't vote anyways (and I am still of the belief that the popular vote carries about as much weight as a web forum poll). Politics is apparently something for people who have all day every day to sit at home and do research, because I can't think of ANY politician or party worth putting my trust in.

Things I DO believe in:
-Do your OWN research into things you care about
-Don't let others make opinions FOR you
-Politicians and Financial Institutions shouldn't be trusted for their word
-Cock is nummy

This advertised has been endorsed by nobody, because no politician will ever tell you to think for yourself.

Problem is, a lot of people take politics very seriously, like to a ridiculous point. Don't like or share their views? You're against them and they'll hate you forever. Its pretty silly, more so when a friendship can instantly fall apart over such things but I guess they weren't much of a friend to let such a thing happen.

If people really took politics seriously, they would take the time to be fully informed about all the candidates. Though the way politics are theses days is like its a contact sport and everyone has to stay faithful to their team ill respective of how worthless and contemptible the players in the team are.

The newspaper headlines making the farces that seem to be considered debates sounding  more like wrestling matches only perpetuates how moronic politics can be.

Agreed. Now if people would finally stop believing that Obama was born in Kenya... >_<

I'm sorry, but they're ignorant if they honestly believe that. =/ It's been proven to death that he was born in Hawaii. At this point it's just people holding onto a belief so they feel more justified in their actions.

Sadly, I don't have the patience to argue something like that to someone like my stepdad who has nothing better to do than read political propaganda all day long. I actually have a job, so I don't have the time or energy to research such things. Paying the bills is more important. x3
