That "use another app to transfer" is probably what got the account flagged. It sounds to me as if Paypal can't (or won't) transfer payments directly into Liryal's bank account (which is what they normally do if you link your account to a checking or savings account at your bank), probably because they can't or won't do business with the banks where Liryal lives -- so instead, L. was using some other payment app or service which does work with their country's banking system as an intermediary, essentially "buying something from themselves" and then "paying" for it through the other app/service.
While there's nothing technically illegal about that as such, it does tend to raise "potential money laundering" flags to bank auditors, especially if there's a repeated pattern of it, so a lot of payment processors have legalese buried in their TOS allowing them to shut down accounts on that basis.

They see you taking commissions from others, in a way that seems 'sketchy' (no pun intended), and they ban you. I've seen dozens of artists have the same problem through the years. Terrified Mothers think that if they can cut off your funding, then we'll all live happily in their little Happy Fantasy Land where everything comports to what **they** decide is suitable.

I know the pain of PayPal shenanigans -- they also will ban you for making adult/XXX content too. PayPal closed my account out for being -$8 USD for 3 weeks. Then charged me service fee for being in the negatives. Then they wanted $50 more on top of that plus a positive balance of $100. I said fuck'm. Wonder if CashApp would work?
