Searching for 3D artists (PLEASE REPOST/LINK)

TJA Productions has recently invested some serious money in a high resolution 3D printer which should be arriving early next year. As such we are in search for a 3D artist to help build/render/rig 3D models of Sarina, and Josephine as an initial launch statuette , we'd also love to make your own creation a reality. Cats n Cameras will continue on it's just on a bit of a restructuring at the moment. Let us know if you or someone you know is interested in this project, and we'd be very open to discussing, payment, commission, etc. As well as production of their own creations.  I also have a painter that I have who is local to me to do runs of fully detailed statuettes.  We're extremely dedicated to bring the fandom in a whole a great line of new items in a timely and quality driven manor, and if you'd like to be part of that, or know someone who is, please get in touch with us as soon as possible!

**EDIT** Printer specs are available at http://formlabs.com/ **/edit**

Just remember, a good 3D printer can self replicate it's parts.

This is something g that I always wanted to try, but have yet to get a chance to, unfortunately I am with out power so it will be a few days before I can send some reference of my work. What are the file requirements for 3d printing?

The printer I've invested in can import from ANY major 3D software.

I'm not a 3D artist, but I've been following 3D printing/rapid prototyping since the early days when it was known only as stereo lithography.

Unless I'm mistaken, you are the first commercial furry group to get a professional 3D printer, congratulations.

If I may be a bit of a tech geek, would you mind sharing the brand and model?  Which style is it, Fused Deposition Modeling (Like the previously mentioned RepRap), or the style with no 'official' name, where binder (and possibly pigments/dyes) are 'printed' onto the top layer of the construction powder, with a new layer of powder added after the old one is 'printed'?  Or is it one of the lithography styles, where the model is build by fusing/curing the top layer of a liquid 'goo'?

http://formlabs.com   It's a liquid Resin and Laser System so it's quite a high definition setup , it can printer down to 5 microns

Sweet!

Single color, tho, oh well, just means there's a market for skilled miniatures painters to add the final touches.

I paint minis, but I am nowhere near calling myself 'skilled.'
