As for weather or not you want to be there, that's up to you. It is, from what I can tell, intended to be a much better alternative to Furaffinity. I Dont agree with some of the choices they have made with there ToS and upload policy but I cant argue them.
I THINK, they will also allow humans in adult situation on the site but i don't know that, my research into the site is some what limited as it holds very little for me in the way of artistic fare, save as yet another site to have to track my favorite artists activitys on. XD wich gets crazy if they dont post all there work to the same accounts.
In my opinion Ibkbunny is a fine art site and while there is no reason NOT to make a weasyl account it is, just another art site. like DA or FA or inkbunny, with it's own set of rules and regulations. It was created, in part from what i can tell, to anser a need in this fandom for a stable art community thats not run by crazy people like FA is. or at least as sane as you can get with furrys XD That being said...
I think inkbunny fills that niche very nicely. Though several artists have made alternative accounts on Weasyl or plan to once registration is publicly open.

It's trying to be the next FA, mixed with a bit of DA. They got some neat animations and other interesting features. Seems to be very focused on artists (imo), which is fine. Certainly looks better than FA. Doesn't allow cubs in sexual situations but that's only because of the overbroad laws enacted in several countries about fiction (yay censorship). To their credit the staff there doesn't seem to mind such content, but just didn't want any legal issues.
I'll probably use it (for business only), but won't be my main even though it's probably going to be lots bigger than IB and SF fairly soon. But only time will tell. I'm not exactly in this for watch counts, I've found more than enough talented artists here & very friendly people who I know are reasonable about fantasy artwork/content, and that's more important to me then more users/exposure.
