Rant. lack of art skill.

I see a lot of great art by good artists and my lack of skill is annoying the heck out of me. iv been working with an old adobe cs2 and PaintTool SAI but for the life of me i can't seem to move forward. much like Sallyhot and SaL i as well want to draw sally art and seeing their art fuels my desire to improve but my lack of skill all so infuriates me.

I'm thinking up upgrading from CS2 to Adobe CS6 but im not sure if its worth the cost. theirs a trial version ill look into trying but any user info on it would be much appreciate.

Well it is frustrating to want to draw something amazing that you've pictured so vividly in your head, but can't because you simply don't have the experience and skill. Still Wakka if you want to get better all you need to do is practice, just keep trying and trying and trying, don't give up and you WILL improve. Use references, LOTS of references to draw what and who you want to. Eventually you'll teach yourself to draw those things by heart, not by eyesight. You may be unable to draw amazing now, but one day if you truly want it, you'll achieve it. I believe in you.

Thanks for the pick me up SaL. Iv been picking away trying to make shade the echidna after watching Canastus's live stream. i picked up a few things from that and im trying out what iv learned to make my 1st pic to add to IB that i can call my own. so far i have the legs from knees up to the hips. the upper body and arms are all that's left. then its onto details and cleaning up my lines.

I have a lot of free time each day and with good motivational cheer from you and Vixy some how ill improve and wont stop till i 1up my skills. by tomorrow night ill have it done and see what people think. :)

Wow, sal took the words right out of my mouth XD

But it does come with practice wakka, i've been practicing almost everyday for about a year-year and a half... just to gt where i am now.

Practice, experiment, and have fun :p

Maybe that's what iv been lacking.....fun. well i cant honestly say that. it has been fun from time to time. but i all so cant help but think theirs something else. some missing key im not picking up on. time will tell. im currently working on making shade the echidna after watching a live stream Canastus was running and trying out some new ways iv learned. hopefully by tomorrow ill have something to show for my efforts.
